Well, I don't know about all their products, but I bought a widescreen RPTV last year that lasted 1 week and then died. PIA since it was such a large item to return. I then bought a Toshiba and have had no problems with it, plus the picture quality is better than the Philips for about the same money.

I won't buy Philips anymore based on that.

I worked at a place in the past that some people call "Worst Buy" And validated the returns for all electronics....and Philips/Magnavox was the top return/serviced manafacture items by far that I saw come in, almost everyday. Not to knock them out or anything...But you do get what you pay for.
This is just based on experience with dealing with the product and there support. Kinda like buying a lotto ticket.....you hope u win...and if you don't...well you knew you were taking a gamble on it.....cuz no one will feel sorry for you....

I have a Phillips 33". I have never Had a problem with it. Beautiful pic also.

I love my 30" Phillips REFURBED HDTV.. it's not the most perfect TV in the world, but for $360 shipped it displays beautiful HD content and hasn't given me any problems for the 4 months I've had it.

I got the 30PW8402 model but paid $360 for it at the time. I wrote a mini review about the TV and my experience with the person who runs the site here. Like I said it's not perfect but still displays an awesome picture. You can purchase extended warrantys as well where a Phillips certified tech will come to your house to work on it if it breaks. Good luck!

I won't say anything negative about the company--they probably make some really great stuff; However, I had one bad experience with a burner that put me off the comapny 4ever. The service, support & documentation did not meet my expectations. In the future, I go for the products that get great referrals from a variety of sources.
