i don't know anything about laptop technology and in all honesty too lazy to go google right now(as it's midnight on eastcoast) so is this thing a Hot price? what's the Turion 1.6Gig equivalent to? i know it's a 64bit processor, is it an X2 -equivalent processor? if it is i am jumping on this one... by the way, this is a clearance item..... quantity of product is limited at each store...

Turion 64 is not an equivalent of a X-2 Processor as it is a single core chip. The equivalent to an X-2 is a Turion 64 X2 , but not a standard Turion 64.

This is a pretty good deal considering it's pretty much in line with the laptops that were on sale during the Labor Day week sales events. A shame the ram installed is only 512 though, but none the less good.

Damn! I ordered a Compaq v2000z, 60 gb (4200rpm), 256mb ram, sempron 3100+ for $411 (incl tax) after rebates. This would cost around $540 incl tax but has a much better configuration

I'm interested but not at $750 (+ 8% tax)
I see only a $30 MIR.

i think so..i think he meant this week it'll be up (maybe he's an employee...but when i worked at Fry's, i made all the add signs and we got them literally the day before the ad day)
