Headsets stuttering

Hello everybody, I just recently got me a logitech g35 headset and have been encountering a problem I can't seem to solve. For some strange reason my audio stutters only during gameplay. It is completely random sometimes it will stutter then stop and not come back others it stutters then stops then comes back after a few minutes.
I find it completely strange because it only happens when I play games, specifically during gameplay and cutscenes. It does this with every single game. I find it strange because the audio will not stutter in title screens while music plays or on the pause menu but as soon as I start playing it begins to stutter. Furthermore, itunes, youtube, all my media players, movies and netflix work absolutely flawlessly. This only happens during games and have absolutely no clue whats happening. I would really appreciate your help because the stuttering is driving me insane thanks.

For mine unplugging and plugging back in fixes all issues.
That said possibly update the software it uses, and contact their support if the issue continues.

I've tried that as well and it stutters anyway. I also cleaned out all drivers, tried all the USB ports and tried installing it multiple times and the problem still persists.

Well after messing with my stuff more I have discovered that lowering my sound quality in sound devices causes the problem to stop. The problem with this though is that I have to drop from "cd" quality to "fm" quality and finally to "am" quality in order for it to disappear. I don't mind the drop to 'fm" since it's hardly noticeable to me but dropping it more sounds absolutely horrid.
So I guess now all I need to know is what part of the PC determines how high the quality of sound can go? It seems as if the games stutter because my PC can't handle the audio going on or as if its on lower priority or something. For reference my specs are as follows

AMD 6970
gigabyte x58 mobo
6gb ddr3 ram
windows 7 64-bit

Can you run a DPC latency test and tell us what you're getting at all the quality settings. Also where are you changing these from? The Logitech headset control panel?

That's what the DPC check will do, check if your PC can handle real time audio processing. Under 60us is a-ok. But if he's spiking all over the place the headset nor onboard will give issues.

But yea, if onboard doesn't give him issues then it's the headset or drivers or some such

Could be the GPU or the mobo too. The current G35 itself doesn't stutter as a matter of course.

Also, a long shot but very old stock (like late 2009) had problems in the audio such as single-ear whining and problems with the mic - not sure about stuttering. AFAIK Logitech sorted those issues out in early 2010. I assume you didn't buy a used set but a new one?

probably GPU-induced DPC latency problems. Fermi-series GPUs and Socket 775 motherboards especially have this problem.

this is totaly a driver problem
i never had this problem on my previous installations

maybe its because i recently installed a old tv card that messed up the drivers

or from using driver DriverGenius

Last ditch effort is try the headsets on another desktop PC. Then you will know whats up. gl
