So this week's brawl is "meh". Once you know what the 4 powers are that you and your opponent get to choose from.I guess I lucked out in my first match as I decided to go with facehunter and faced a shammon (which was obviously his first match). He choose the add 10 portals to each deck, I obviously choose the minions switch heal/attack on your turn for my power (because that makes the shammon hero power worthless since 3 of the 4 minions it places are 0/2, which mean they die when they switch).

Needless to say, I won the match by the 4th round (as all my charge+high attack/low health minions would have their high attack on my turn, and on his turn, have high health, and low attack).

The mage secret that makes mages invulnerable if they take fatal damage is SO FREAKING STUPID. Just played a mage that danced around death for like 8 turns straight due to a stupid combo of cards.

Sometimes this game is just absolute trash man I swear to god.

Got lucky on my first run at the Brawl. Chose mage and the other guy warlock. He chose bananas and me -1 spell cost. Last round I got two flamewalkers down and all the 0 cost spells I had including multiple bananas. It actually ended before the rope burned out.

Tempo mage and Zoolock are pretty good in this brawl. That said, I went 10-2 with an egg druid type deck yesterday. Deck was too aggressive for tempo mages. Best fate for the deck is the switch one, otherwise the bananas are also good and in worst case, take portals. Dire Wolf Alpha is the MVP because of the switch Atk/HP fate actually buffs your minions every turn. Similarly, Abusive Sergeant is great, and so are Nerubian Eggs to get a 4/4 on board quickly.

Expansion releases late april which is later than i would have thought. everyone gets C'thun for free as well as three packs. looks like theyre attempting a control meta with C'thun as a finisher (paired with bronzebeard �&#56832.

I decided to just use some Pandaren that I created back when I was considering a Pandaren Monk, and I realized that I should've probably just created a new character. ...mostly because I don't have much in the way of leather heirlooms and the rest of my characters that could purchase them are all inactive. I'm at 16 or something like that, and ugh... it reminds me why I stopped playing. :|

Broke the game on my phone too. Turned everything PINK! Found the official post about it on the official forums. Cleared Cache and Data and it let it redownload all that I cleared. Then it worked fine after that.

Same here, have a 17 tanky panda I just never "finished" that shouldn't take long. Spent way too much gold and stuff last couple of months filling up the heirloom chest so shouldn't be much effort to hit 20.

How long (estimate) would it take for a new player to level to 20? I've never played WoW as I try to stay away from online RPGs but I'm assuming that at such low levels, I might as well be playing a single player game? Other players are probably too high levels to be in same zones?

If you have any clue what you're doing, probably only a couple hours from leveling through dungeons.

Broke the game on my phone too. Turned everything PINK! Found the official post about it on the official forums. Cleared Cache and Data and it let it redownload all that I cleared. Then it worked fine after that.

Yeah, it broke on my andriod phone as well. Needed a complete reinstall. The iOS version on my iPad was fine though.

I havn't played in years, but you can easily do it over a weekend with just a couple hours of playtime, even without the dungeons. Just pick a class that can solo well and isn't completely dependent on getting decent equipment (since you won't have any in-game money and will be relying almost entirely on drops and standard merchant gear since you can't compete against the wallet that other players have for open market items).

You're easily looking at a few hours. I didn't level through dungeons like Lupi mentioned, which may have been better, but I took a level 3 character that I had sitting around to level 20. I think it took me around 7-8 hours, and that's with some heirloom gear. To note, heirloom gear by default is gear that scales to your current level; however, some of them have other bonuses such as +experience (e.g. +10% experience).

So this Tavern Brawl is basically concede until you get Kel'Thuzad and then curbstomp Rafaam.
