There's lots of different comboes which counter eachother. There's no one unstoppable deck.

Also, Metaltooth leaper is much faster and better than Micromachine. If you are running into too many of these Mechwarper decks, just run Innervate + Chillmaw (just one example).

Destroyed a warrior on my frost mage, but it was rather slow, given that I'm frost, and must have been exceptionally painful for him.

Only minions I played were the taunt spell, 3-2 reduce spell cost and 3-2 hero power does +1 damage.

He dropped a kobold first (thought that kinda strange) which arcane missile took out. Then a cobra which got a frost bolt. Then he used a 3-2 weapon to clear my taunts. He put down a 2-8 that doubles attack each turn that I poly'd. For turns 5-7 this general process continues with him dropping 1-2 mobs a turn and I go through a couple cone of frost which along with my +1 power get all killed off. He did kill my cost reduction minion by giving his hero +4 attack while he had no weapon, so from 5 or 6 on I was down to one minion. With one frozen minion with one health left he drops Onyxia, I blizzard his side and wipe everything else out. He doesn't put up any taunt non turn after and yet another single mob attack + hero blast finally kills him off.

My hero never took damage and my minions only took 10 (4 of which were over damage).

Think i would have left long before then.

Lol, I paid for it next match. yogg mage versus yogg mage, he's running more minions but my yogg goes out first and does minimal damage as several cards don't have valid targets when they come up. I have 12 points of damage cards in my hands along with a couple ice blocks, but he's able to keep pulling minor spell damage cards and uses his hero ping so none of my ice blocks get triggered and I die first.

Poor warrior lol. When you see someone running Kobold Geomancer, Cobra, Heroic Strike etc, you know they've just started playing Hearthstone. And you then go on and crush him. Poor guy probably just opened Scaled Nightmare and Onyxia is probably his only legendary.

Arena so fubar now. Of last 4 runs I did, everything between 1-3 and 6-3. It pretty much has become 99% RNG over the first 10 cards in your deck. If you draw more early useable cards you drafted you win, if not you lose. Have not seen any decent comeback attempts by either myself or the other player in quite some time to the point if I had to wager on the match winner at start of turn 5 I could probably pull a 100% win rate.

On the plus side you occasionally run across things like after the mage cast a secret, you poly his lone minion, ping it, and secret becomes place 2 of killed minion in you hand and who doesn't want 2 more sheep instead of that 5-4 with a battlecry.

I've done 15 runs since Old Gods, which I kept track of. I was very new to arena when I did these runs, the last run before these was the free one given before GvG release. I also tried different classes every time if I could, since I was still learning. I did use a tier list to help me pick initially but I did most of these runs on my phone so using a tier list was a chore, so I stopped using after the first few runs.

I hit seven wins twice but also went 0-3 once with what I thought was a really good Mage deck but the first two games I lost to really good Rogue decks and the third I lost a godly draw by a Hunter rush deck which killed me before turn 5.

I averaged only 4.5 wins per run but I calculated that I was better off playing arena rather than constructed (including the missed 10 gold for every 3 wins). Before this group of runs, I'd done around 10 runs back before the GvG days. I didn't like playing Arena then and I found out I still don't like playing Arena now either.

There's no point in me playing Arena anymore since I've got a 100% collection of OG and TGT now so I'd rather play ladder and save gold for the next expansion. Also, I like to work towards the Golden Portraits.

First couple games I played whoever had the coin won, then a couple in a row it was whoever had illidan won. Did a couple more and those were whomever had the least suckiest ones.

And I won't mention the game I had where it was deathwing vs deathwing....

The key to this brawl seems to be to get a few copies of the same one in your hand so you can use your cost reduction and get them all out.

Excellent match against yet another damn shimmy. Used a doomsayer and some spells to clear his early attacks. Some spell play and board building filled mid game (he played several minions but didn't attack due to my traps). Around mana 7 things got heavy again. On his turn 9 he dropped a minion and played the card that gave him random 1 cost more minions. Unfortunately he get one better minion, rest were worst including one that was attack after inspire only. But he probably still felt good about having most of a full board till I play acid worm and hounds on my turn 7 and clear his side. Somehow I ended the game as a hunter with health still at 30.

I've been playing Spellweaver, a lot of players say they prefer it to Hearthstone, have any Hearthstone players played both to compare?

Looking at the steam review it seems more involved rather than the casual nature of Hearthstone. It seems to be missing one of my main gripes with HS, the randomness. I was never a MTG player, so I'm not drawn to the clones though.

It seems like a very generous game, not hard to get all the cards playing for free. I've heard the randomness issue before.

Spellweaver seems to mostly have the randomness of any tcg, depends what you draw, but otherwise there isn't much.

They give a lot of rewards for playing, you can craft any card you want. There's the first expansion coming at the end of the month.

(If it is not an issue to mention they have a referral thing for a bunch of free gold for new players who use a referral code, I can give one to any PM that asks.)

MTG is still the best by a long shot, but it is just so expensive. The problem is that if you play the Standard format then all your cards get rotated out so often, you have to keep spending lots of money to keep playing that format, and it can be huge amounts of money if like me you get bored playing the same deck over and over. To get multiple fun decks can cost a fortune. And it is a shame because it is the most balanced format and for me it is the most fun too. The other option is to play an old format like Modern which has far fewer rotations, but to buy a good set of cards for that format costs hundreds. Hearthstone is nice because technically you still play it even without spending much (or anything). I haven't tried Spellweaver yet, will try it soon.

Yeah it is strange. I am new to Hearthstone and the RNG is annoying. Not only is it RNG on what you draw and what they draw, but I also often get crappy choices when building the deck. And yet a few times I have been given incredibly over powered cards and even some crazy legendary cards that basically win the game as soon as I play it. To me free to play has ruined a lot of games because they have to make them in a way that forces people to pay. Hearthstone suffers from this but most of the mobile games I am playing are working the same way. I loved every minute of Plants vs Zombies but the sequel is just unplayable. They give you ridiculously hard missions early in the game just to force you to spend some money to buy the special abilities. It is stupid. I don't mind spending money, but I need to know how much it is going to cost. With the first game you just buy it and have everything. With the second game, I could spend $5 or whatever only to find out I need to do it again 20 more times to keep playing the game.

Reinstalled on one of my computers after some new hardware, for the first time I noticed a performance setting. Moved it from medium to high and did notice some of the card effects had enhanced visuals to them.

Had another lull arena run where not a single hero was killed which considering that it is a pay to enter venture says a lot.

Last brawl great for getting quest done on your off classes. Mowed throughb some warrior ones. 2 turn victories are great, Alex followed by gorehowl.

Played zero ranked this month. Finally decided to rank on the last day so that I didn't miss out on the rewards. Played two games as Control Warrior and won 'em but it took half an hour... Decided to switch to zoo and it took me just two hours to rank to 10... (started at rank 16 or something this month) Aggro is so OP for fast climbing.

Played a hunter and for the longest time I couldn't figure what ype of deck he was playing. Got to me at 20 with 3 minions, him at 3 with 1.

He then drops yogg (with a relatively small number of spells cast) and unlike 99.9% of the games I've played with yogg, every singlenone of his cards helped him, other than the one that transformed his yogg and I'd consider that a neutral change.

He ends up killing all my guys, putting a bunch of damage on my hero, and summons a couple additional minions on his side. Finishes me off next turn with him at 1 health. On my turn I cast wrath and drew my cthun but didn't have the mana to use. Would be nice if even one quarter of my yogg plays were that effective.

Got all nine classes to level 60 today Now my basic card collection is complete lol.

Spent all my gold on classic card packs, trying to find the last few legendaries (all useless) as well as the nerfed cards I dusted. Can't bring myself to craft anything in classic since we regularly get free classic packs.

My next goal is all golden classes. I rarely play a Golden portrait unless I didn't play much and need to rank quickly at end of month.

This TB is such a tease. You plan out your moves and then your opponent screws everything up. Things get rolling for me by turn 6, Thaurissan on turn 6 and get out Dr. Boom the next turn followed by Kel'Thuzad. Trick is picking only one card of the mana cost that you really want. I picked extras of 2-5 mana cards.

Best is when you realize you're going against an all murloc shammy who apparently doesn't know on turn 7 you've got baron coming out. Enough weapons in the deck along with whirlwind at the lower mana levels to keep the amount of minions on board manageable.

Still can't believe someone tried a murloc deck.

You can make some decks that pretty much guarantee a win as long as you can get 1 card in mulligan. I built a paladin deck that won all games by turn 6 as long as I managed to pick up a Holy Wrath in mulligan or drew it before turn 5.

Edit: I only played enough games to finish the tavern brawl quest but basically you put in Worgen at 1, Argent Lance at 2, a charger at 3, a charger at 4 (the horserider), two Holy Wraths at 5 and the rest of your deck is 9 mana+ minions.

Played about 10 games as warrior, did a couple questions and a few for fun. Unless I ran up to an aggro shammy I was pretty much destroying everyone. Ran baron, chromag, and Alex as my 7 to 9 cards with a bunch of weapons, patrons, and inspire cards.
