I was wondering if the baron would trigger 2 new mobs, anyone test?
Molten giants don't spawn anywthing.
Yep, that was one remark that I made to a friend after seeing the brawl. I also said to consider avoiding 1-cost minions as unless Blizzard is being nice about it (and giving you a 0-cost), there are no -1 cost minions. 2-cost minions will only give you a Wisp or Target Dummy. Frankly, I'd rather focus more on 3-cost minions, but giving up two turns of play may hurt you.
Also, you mentioned Shaman as a good hero choice, but keep in mind that totems may cost 2 mana, but their actual listed card cost is 1!
This new Tavern Brawl seems incredibly skewed toward Handlock. In the Brawl, when your minion dies, you get a random minion that costs 2 less than the one that died. Handlock can play a Mountain Giant (12 cost) on turn 4 or 5 (depending). If that dies, you get one of two 10-cost cards: Deathwing or Sea Giant. Now, to be fair, this same tactic also includes the anti-Handlock card, Clockwork Giant (12-cost, reduced -1 for each card in your opponent's hand). Although, if we end up with Handlock vs. Handlock often, having both in your deck might not be a bad idea. :hmm:
...
Also, anything that reduces casting cost will affect the casting spawn. So if you are low enough that molten giant costs 1 or less to spawn, when it dies it is considered a 1 or 0 casting cost minion. It will not spawn anything because of that.
But then he just randomly concedes on his turn, even though he had a better board. Oh well.
I had the "deal 100 damage to enemny heroes" quest. I don't usually play face agro decks, so I went with my control paladin alternating with control priest.
Took ages to complete the quest because everyone would concede as soon as I had board control, very frustrating.
Ah, I have to say... there's nothing quite like Thoughtstealing a Druid's Combo (Force of Nature + Savage Roar) and using it to kill them!
Over 800 wins with priest, and I always run thoughtsteal x2; and I've only gotten that ONCE. But man was it memorable..
Any good Paladin decks running these days? I'm still running a Dragon Paladin and it's still effective up until Rank 13-14 where I start losing 50% of my games. I'm sitting around 260 wins with the Paladin so I concentrate on playing this class most but can't seem to find a good Paladin deck that can lift me up higher in Ranks...
I think i'm gonna try a Pirate Paladin, some GvG cards and older ones are fun to play like the Cannon, Greenskin, Dread Corsair+Weapons...

Have you guys gotten golden portraits for some heroes yet?
I'm pretty confident with control warrior but that decks has so many bad matchups right now with all the aggro paladins, zoo, tempo mages, druids etc I'm facing. I regret not trying out grim patron more after brm release, I still feel uncomfortable playing it. I think it's the hardest deck to master so far.
I think it's finally time to build some aggro decks, get good with them and climb that ladder. I'll aim for atleast rank 5 this season.
