Had the minion cards stacked on each other in hand bug due to receiving a card while an action is in progress bug. Really sucked as I wanted to play the newest card first but couldn't until I played the older card (which was graphically below the newer card).

i've had this a few times. luckily never in a spot where it really matters, but it can be annoying.

Went and did 2 arena runs last night. Both were as priest. Fiirst started hot as a 3-0, and ended in a glorious 5-3. 2 of the first wins were rather easy, third a normal game. First lost was a nailbitter. 2nd had opponent flirting with the RNG god while I was getting divorced from him.

2nd run was a glorious 1-3, tried a different card structure I had heard about based on what I receieved but never got the card I needed in anything close to the right order and it wasn't' pretty.

At least one of the cards I got was the one cheap hunter one giving all your beast charge.

And I don't think I like the warlock. Way too many of the cards tied to random discard for me.

Won an arena match last night (after drafting while playing Fifa, so I was only half paying attention and ended up with an awful deck) on some luck. I had 1 health, only 2 minions on the board, and my opponent had 6 minions, and like 14 health. Luckily one of my minions was on I could fireball as a mage and give him +1 and windfury, so I did exactly 14 damage with both mine and won. He had to be upset.

I've been going 5-3 lately. It is like I'll get 5 wins and then 3 losses no matter what I do now.

It seems like I am getting worse and worse the more I play this game. Maybe others are improving and I'm not? As much time as I invest watching above average players stream (80% arena win rate players) and reading strategy, I anticipate a bit more success.

I feel as though I'm losing the majority of the time, but when I do win, it seems like it's because of RNG, top decking or some other manner of luck. I don't know, maybe I just have to invest more time and effort in improving?

I got a beta key a few weeks ago, but I started watching streams a week or so prior to that. Are my expectations just too high? I'd be pleased to show the smallest improvement in arenas, but I usually finish with under three wins, with plenty of 0-3 runs. My best ever arena run was 7-3 on a Mage deck. That was exciting, but I then went right back to losing badly. I feel like my deck drafting isn't terrible. I usually have a nice curve.

It's pretty frustrating to feel like I'm investing so much time without improving, that's all.

Any obvious tips spring to mind after reading my Hearthstone woes?

Got back up to about 2 thousand gold so decided to arena it back down last couple of days to one thousand. Managed about a 3-0 each time. Unless I got really screwed by the RNG fairy, winning the first two games pretty routine. And then going lost lost win lost also as consistent.

Did find several interesting things. For druid the +2 attack all chars is sweet when you add it to the card that gives 3 one turn only 2-2's with charge.

Had one of my guys silenced when the other player was just using the battlecry silence, not intended to do anything but my guy had been frozen and the silence actually removes that, didn't realize that.

Ability to put out a lot of minions and draw extra cards really important. Did lose one game though as on a long match between my druid ad a warrior, I had the adventurer that I was buffing with junk cards and used the last one before attacking...and it triggered a card draw with my deck empty and doing so killed me...ugh.

Got several interesting rare/epics and the Illidan legendary. Look forward to trying him in some of my play decks.

So I was pretty excited for this initially, even bought in some packs, but man the balancing needs to be worked on. I'm shelving it for now.

I grind my crappy constructed decks just enough to do arena. Sure, you can get some silly OP opponents in Arena, but losing on the 3rd turn in constructed happens like 1/5 times.

I faced a priest in the arena the other day. First turn, northshire cleric for 1 mana. (this card is a ONE MANA card thats not only a 1/3 but you draw a card whenever you heal something). Second turn, 2 more northshire clerics. Yeah...thats game. He drew so many cards I couldn't even believe it.

You just gotta survive that for awhile and outlast him. Those end up being easy trades once you hit 4 or 5 mana.

Game seems cool after playing for a week or so. Not that hard to go 9 wins in arena for me so far.

Mage and Priest are clearly more OP than the other classes at the moment, both classes can make your life hell.

The other classes are seem fine.

Whether this game is remembered as great or mediocre will come down to whether Blizzard actively adds new cards. It is only a matter of time before people will get bored playing the same cards and same decks.

If they're reducing the buzzard to one health I doubt the cleric also doesn't go down either.

Also seems a lot more people are trying to go with rush decks as a key strategy given how slow it is in general to get new cards into your hand. Will be interesting to see if they make any changes to alter this.

Every "season" they will probably add new cards. If they don't, people have very little incentive to buy new packs after they've finished their decks.

I doubt that. Last I heard they were planning on each one being about a month long.

Adding cards midway through the season seems unlikely. Look at how Blizzard does the arena in WoW. Every season gets new gear, not mid season. It changes the current meta. Same with how Valve handles Dota. They don't just go throwing in new items around tournament time.

I enjoy it. I think it could use a bit of tweaking, but overall, it is decent. There are a few bugs, but noting really big from what I've seen so far.

heard a couple things from a dev chat,

the reward to make your hero gold will be 500 (play) victories.

taunt was originally something you did while the opponent was attacking you. when they patched to a new version it got bugged and the taunt stay one your character for more than the one round, they liked that affect (and how it took less time than inputing while other player had his turn) and that's how it became what you see today.

Did about 15 play games last night on the druid to get the gold level back up and refine the deck with some of the new cards. Though I may be a bit minion lite and did lose the first two matches. Changed a couple cards after each of those and other than screwing myself in one game where I played the wrong card went undefeated the rest of the way. With so many turning out rush decks I'd usually be under 10 health when I'd finally take the dominate position away in the game, and then I'd just unleash on him for a turn or so depending on if he drew a good enough block card for me to divert a couple of attacks to.

Got an invite yesterday and gave it a try. It's neat, there's definitely a lot of polish to it and it's certainly got the Blizzard-level production values. Not sure how I feel about the cardgame itself though, it's got a few good nuances to it but I can't help thinking it's still kind of a step backward/down from the Pokemon or Yugioh TCGs I played as a kid - though the mana mechanic does set it apart. Hopefully some more ideas will be added to it as time goes on.

I got an invite yesterday, and promptly deleted the email. Sorry but sending me an invite a few weeks from open beta when every one of my friends has had two keys for months is a bit shitty and turned me off this game. Almost all my friends no longer play this so not only is this offer "late to the party", but it's pretty insulting for them to "save" me a spot a whole week before open beta. Also aren't they wiping it at open beta?

I'm not mad I didn't get selected earlier, but its a bit aggravating to get an email for the closed beta only to find out open beta starts next week. Not only that, the email is 50% about the bonuses I can get: while spending money in the freaking beta. Woo.

I'll pass and stick with magic, thanks.

Just got so screwed in arena. Had a nice 5-1 streak going then hit a priest that had mind control and faceless, so after putting a bit of a beat down on him, he then uses my board to win the game.
Next I'm going against a shammy and decided against a freeze or freeze bolt, go to dock the first card I selected to swap and the stupid game case a bolt at me. Why you can even hurt your own hero is beyond me.

Some of the hurt your own minions is valid strategy. Like the ones that gain +1 and windfury on enrage. As a mage, I will hit him with a fireball before I attack.

I love his rant. "Hey, I am far too entitled to be invited late to this closed beta. Blizzard, hear me cry."
