i usually run with both sunfury and defender. this season has been pretty challenging so far since there's that tournament that the top 16 players get to go to. pretty much everyone i play now seems to know what's going on and have a well built deck

argus defender is one of the most OP cards in the game.

Warlock is probably the most fun class to play as btw. It's just so insane.

Argus is in no way OP. It's usefulness is situational. You cant play it on an empty board. When was the last time you topdecked it and were like 'YES!!!!'?

When you're playing a Hand Lock with two Molten Giants on the board? :awe:

It's 2 extra mana for 4 extra stats. defender blows sunfury away in value.

So a 2 mana 2/2, which gives 4 stats is OP?

Point is that you can play sunfury on an empty board on turn 2. You can't do the same with Argus on turn 4. At best, argus gives about the same stats as Yeti, but with two taunt. At worst, he is a dead card on turn 4.

Was at 5-0 with an arena run, then came across blaine, cenarius, ysera in 3 of the 4 next games. Ended 6-3. Sigh.

I never said it was OP, someone else did. I just said it's better than sunfury, which it is.

that +1/+1 to adjacent minions has changed the course of battles for me a bunch of times, even if it goes to 1 single minion

I just won a battle that I shouldn't have because of it. I was a paladin and was down to like 7 health and the other player had 5 minions on the board (4/6+1 magic, 4/4 +1 magic, 3/6+taunt, and a summoning portal) against my 2 lowly 1/1's. I did have equality and protection spells, and pulled an argus. So equality, defender, divine shield, divine shield, humility, and so dead taunt, dead magic, and other +1 magic is now a 1/1, while I now have two 2/2+taunts, and a 2/3 on the board. He played 2 yetis, but I drew a consecration (FINALLY), and used my second equality+consecration for a board wipe and I pop another 1/1. He plays a scarlet crusader and draws a card. I played a blood knight, to get a 6/6 and remove the shield on the crusader, and kill his crusader with a 1/1, I pop another 1/1. He concedes..

I hate consecration

they always have one at turn 5

You just play with that in mind. Just like when you're playing against a Mage, if you have 3+ minions on the board, expect them to get Flamestriken on turn 7! Don't want to get hurt badly by consecration? Try to avoid stacking too many minions around turn 5 or 6.

yeah i know... but im currently playing minion decks... if i hold back ill lose to a mage when they cast fireball+fireball+pyroblast on me

but, the flamestrike its not such a big deal because its a late game card... if im doing well at turn 7 the mage is at 1 minion attack + soulfire reach
on the other hand, the consecration comes pretty fast and im still setting up the attack mostly

but its the same effect... if i dont force him to play defensively, with this kind of decks (zoo or murlock) il probably lose

Naxx details. Gold cost will be 3500 (2800 if you get the free one).

We’re skimming the slime pools, stitching together our finest Abominations, and preparing the Necropolis for an Adventure you’ll never forget—Curse of Naxxramas is coming, and we know you’re just dying to get in and play! In today’s blog, we’ll discuss the details on how you’ll access Curse of Naxxramas, and unveil the Naxxramas Heroic Mode.*

Your All Naxx-cess Pass

Naxxramas is a floating necropolis, home to a host of undead bosses ready to challenge worthy opponents eager to test their card-slinging mettle. To undertake the challenges that lie within each of the five wings of the Adventure, one must first gain access to their secrets. But don’t worry too much about the price of entry—much to Thaddius’ chagrin, it won’t cost you an arm OR a leg.

Naxxramas will open its gates one wing at a time, with a new wing opening each week. The wings of Naxxramas will open in the following order: Arachnid Quarter, Plague Quarter, Military Quarter, Construct Quarter, and Frostwyrm Lair.

Players who begin their adventures in Naxxramas during the launch event will gain free access to the first wing: the Arachnid Quarter. The launch event will last roughly a month or so, meaning you’ll have plenty of time to get your foot in the door—we’ll have more details to share about that later on. The web-choked corridors of the Arachnid Quarter are home to the bosses Anub’Rekhan, Grand Widow Faerlina, and Maexxna. Defeating these bosses will add new cards to your collection and give you a taste of the dangers that await you deeper inside Naxxramas.

After the Arachnid Quarter, the next four wings can be purchased for 700 gold per wing or $6.99 USD per wing. Players can earn the in-game gold needed to unlock the next wing of Naxxramas by completing various quests or emerging victorious from the Arena, or they can choose to unlock the next available Naxxramas wing using real money.

If you’re looking to swing open multiple gates at once, Curse of Naxxramas bundle packages are also available. Spiders are just so good at making things into neat little bundles.*.*.*.

Keep in mind that purchasing Curse of Naxxramas wings in bundles does not open or grant access to those wings faster than the one-wing-a-week schedule, but it does ensure that you’ll be able to dive into the next challenges as soon as they unlock.

If you play Naxxramas during the launch event and decide to purchase the remaining wings with real money, you’ll only have to purchase the 4-Wing bundle to access the remaining wings once they become accessible.

If you unlock additional wings with gold and wish to purchase a wing bundle at a later time with real money to unlock any remaining wings, you can still take advantage of the bundle pricing. For example, if you enter the Arachnid Quarter during the launch event and unlock it for free, then purchase the second wing with gold, the remaining three wings can be purchased with real money at the 3-wing bundle price listed above.

Remember to enter the Necropolis during the launch event so you don’t miss out on all the creepy crawly fun that awaits you in the Arachnid Quarter—for free!*

Heroic Mode

Once you’ve defeated all of the bosses within any given wing for the first time, you’ll unlock the Heroic mode of that wing. Heroic mode bosses are significantly more difficult than their normal versions, and they will prove to be a challenge for even the most veteran Hearthstone players. Defeating all of the bosses in Naxxramas on Heroic mode will unlock a new card back for your collection.

The undead horrors of Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure are dying to meet you. We hope to see you creeping through the necropolis with your own “All Naxx-cess Pass” soon!*

Actually that pricing doesn't seem bad at all. A bit lower than I expected.

I think they tuned it down a bit after the early leaked prices. Good for us but somewhat odd as about every other leaked pricepoint that the mases thought too high have not changed from leak to release.

I bought a $20 Blizzard gift card from Target awhile ago (5% off). So, I'll probably just buy the bundle for $19.99.

thanks

gonna start savin my gold.

It's way more cost effective if you just use gold to buy packs and pay the $20 for the expansion.

That is of course unless you're one of the people 100% against ever paying money.

True. The other option is to wait and see if there are any cards even worth the 2800 gold or $20 to even bother with.
