This may sound absurd, but I think they should add a mode where it's a 3 or 4-player game. They would have to allow for more than 30 cards in a deck, but think of the strategy involved.

Free for all?

Does area still cost money to enter? I haven't played in a long time and wouldn't mind jumping back in. But, having to pay money to effectively "learn" the game isn't something I want to do.

Yes.

I think I mentioned this earlier, but I'd really like to see a free arena that just didn't provide any bonuses. Even limit the number of plays per week to entice people to pay for the "real arena".

This brawl is pretty much 100% luck based. I played about 10-15 games and would say it was pretty close to 50/50 who won. There is almost no skill really in this matchup. It is still fun, but hopefully the next brawl is a bit better crafted.

not for me, I lost once total with Nefarian(probably out of 12 games with him)

But at least after getting a handle of it, I was close to 50/50 with Rag, overall probably being something like 5 wins in 13 games if I had to guess.

But if I got Nefarian, I felt like I already won, and if I got Rag it would be a tough match in order to win but it can be done.

Arena wouldn't be the best way to learn the game since you would be limited the cards you get and you wouldn't know how to pick them properly. Start off by playing solo vs the AI until you unlock a bunch of the basic cards. Then build a deck with those cards and play under casual. Then you can tweak your decks as needed and add cards as you get new packs.

Brawl #2 is out. So far, I've won 6 games and lost just 1.

I decided to go with mage, because of flamewaker synergy with the bananas. It's an aggro deck that takes control of the board right away and continues to put pressure with very strong mid game cards like Violet Teacher, Gazlowe and only 1 late game drop, Illidan.

Mirror Image x2 - 2 minions on the board. Buys time, gets two bananas, trades as well
Cogmaster x2 - best turn 1 play
Mana Wyrm x2
Clockwork Gnome x2
Frostbolt x2
Unstable Portal x2
Annoy-o-Tron x2
Ironbeak Owl x2 - Because some opponents will make the mistake of using all their bananas on one minion.
Mechwarper x2
Sorc's Apprentice x2
Arcane Intellect x2
Mirror Entity x2
Flamewaker x2
Violet Teacher x2
Gazlowe
Illidan Stormrage

Edit: Another 5 straight wins. Most by around turn 5-6.

So this didn't go too well for the Priest. I went second and thus had the coin. The first few rounds the Priest didn't do anything, so I spammed out some hero power minions (a taunt, a 1/1, and a heal), and at the same time on turn 4 as getting the heal, I popped down an attack totem next to the taunt and 1/1, and hit the priest for 5 damage. He used an insta-death on the attack totem and healled himself. I popped the coin and played Emperor. He then played Emporer. I attacked his hero with my Emporer, and played a Faceless Manip on my Emporer (in my hand I also had KT, since the second turn, so it now only cost 5, I also had a deathrattle-resummon spell, and a re-incarnate spell which now were 0 cost, and a frog that was 0 cost). So the Priest kills my taunt with his Emperor, and plays a Deathlord, which he then buffs with the +2/4+1 spell damage spell, and 2 +2 health+draw card spells. I say sorry, as I play frog his deathlord, play KT, deathrattle+resummon KT, reincarnate KT, kill his Emperor with one of mine, attack his hero for 5, and watch the resummoning commence. End result, this screenshot:

I find KT can be decisive if you have control. If you don't have control then it can be tricky getting him to survive. I try to play him behind a taunt, though I guess with thelower cost in your game it becomes easier.

What do you do when you pull a bad golden legendary or epic? I just pulled a golden Iron Juggernaut and I doubt I'll ever use him but then again I'm hesitant to disenchant him just because golden legendaries are so hard to get. The only other I pulled was a Tirion when I first started playing which I de'd because I didn't know any better and wanted the 1600 dust to craft a bunch of rares and probably an epic to build better decks. However Tirion is great and Iron Juggernaut is pretty bad.

If there's something you want to craft, might as well get it now. Unless you plan of making an all golden deck, I see no point in holding onto it. One thing to keep in mind though is that future expansions might work well with it. But with a golden you have enough dust to just craft the regular version if you want it back.

oh if Blizzard changes the cards, they will give you a full dust for it for a short time. Usually it's for nerfs.

Hard to say. Personally I would dust it and grab one of the more useful legendaries if you don't already have them:

Dr Boom
Sylvannas
Rag
Alexstrasza
Ysera

probably in that order too...

I'm going to dust it and get another legendary. I have all of the above except Alexstrasza. I was considering her and it would allow me to play tempo mage and Warrior (I'd have to use the rest of the dust for Grommash) but I don't enjoy Warrior much and my Mech Mage deck is really fun/good. How good is Alexstrasza in other types of situations?

The 2 legendaries I was considering are Jaraxxus and Vol'gin which would give me good enough cards to play those classes competitively. My main classes are Shaman, Paladin and Mage and the legendaries I don't have for them are Flame Leviathan (which I'd never use), Bolvar (not that great) and Al'Akir (nice but not really necessary).

Probably I'll just wait until I'm building a new deck and actually need a legendary before crafting it. There's some epics I could use but it's hard to craft them when you have enough dust for a legendary.

It is very useful in a spare parts deck and many mage decks (especially when combo'ed with an Emperor that lasted a turn and changed a bunch of your 2 mana spells into 1 mana spells, even more deadly when combined with flamewalker since all those 1 cost spells also will do 2 dmg to random enemy). That is as long as you play it on turn 9 or 10 and get 3-4 random mechs added to your hand in place of the 3-4 1 cost spells you just used. Paladins also have a bunch of 1 cost spells (especially secrets) which would combo well with that card.

I'm not going to say you should definitely keep it, but it has uses. If you have the other legendary cards I posted above, and don't need a class specific legendary to make your deck competitive, then it can be a useful card allowing you to make a more spell heavy deck (or simply add mechanical yeti or similar cards that give you a spare part) because you know you can get 3-4 more minion cards out of that card.

Should I dust my golden glasgowe? Do amy of you use it?

It's up to you pretty much. I pretty to keep even the most useless cards just for collection purposes, and I doubt you'll be picking up a golden Gazlowe anytime soon again .

Since he only procs on 1 mana spells, that's basically shaman (earth shock, bolt, rockbiter for total 6 possible procs), besides the spare parts ofc. Just happens that mech Shaman is actually sorta decent! Gazlowe also provides card advantage, awesome because of Shaman's draw inconsistencies. Really though, he's too slow and inconsistent, that's why he isn't used in constructed. Still you can have fun with him. I used him in a couple brawl decks with the bananas...

I'm thinking of building a Priest deck and am missing Vol'gin, Prophet Velen, Cabal Shadow Priest, Shadowbomber, Mindgames and Shadowform. I have 2x all the other cards. Are any of my missing cards necessary? I know Cabal Shadow Priest is but the only other one I can see as useful is Vol'gin but he's not a card that would win the game? Any Neutral epic/legendary (other than the obvious like Rag/Dr.Boom) cards good choices?

I don't think any of those are required for a decent priest deck. Cabal Shadow Priest is very good though, I would get those ASAP if you plan on playing a lot of priest. For neutrals, Sylvannas, Injured Blademaster, and Sludge Belcher are very good.

I actually have a golden portrait priest, so I have lots of experience playing the class, but it is nearly nonexistent right now on the higher ranks, it just loses badly to most of the decks around.

I find Vol'Jin and Cabal Shadow Priest to be some of priests' best cards. They just usually turn the game around when you play them. Sylvanas and Harrison Jones can be run in priest decks. Lightbomb priest decks usually run Ysera instead and sometimes Toshley.

I spent 600$ on this game and still don't have all the cards. Blizzard got me good.

Really only Vol'gin is needed (not even "needed", but very useful, since it combo's so well with Holy Smite, Holy Nova, Auchenai Soulpriest (either with coin or already on the table)). You not only clear their powerful card, but make one of yours even more powerful at the same time.

So many useful combos with priest, resurrect with Injured Blademaster, Light of Naaru with Injured Blademaster, double healths+inner fire on any high health minion = instant death many times, plenty of instant death cards, card copy abilities, Mind Control, etc... If you have a couple other legendaries like Sylvannas, Alexstrasza, Dr Boom, you are pretty much unstoppable unless you get bad card draw.

For other legendaries that are extremely useful, Emperor Thaurissan, Kel'Thusad, Maexxna, Fugen/Stalagg all come to mind, but you need to be careful not to stack your deck too high in the mana cost.

How do you spend $600 and not get enough dust to make all the cards you really need? Were they all spend on 0-3 arena runs?
