Heatsink for Athlon XP

Just bought an Athlon XP 2400 tbred b and would like opinions on my heatsink. I am replacing the Athlon 1.4 gig which runs hotter. The Heatsink I have is an Alpha Pal 6035 (I think). If it worked on the 1.4 should it work OK on the XP. Thanks in advance.

are you sure its 6035 or the 8045 one? (i think last two digits are 45...)
is the fan 60mm or 80mm? (if im not mistaken, 6035 has 60mm fan...so that would help determine which)

and yea im inclined to say it will work just fine

I double checked and it is the 6035. Still think it will be OK?

Run some Prime95 on it and see how hot your CPU gets. I've got an 8045 Heatsink and my XP1900 runs pretty warm, but I have the older Xp processors.

it also depends on what fan youre running on it. if you are concerned with noise, you may want to invest in an 80mm heatsink, since you will get the same or better cooling with less noise (80mm fans can push the same air, while making much less noise)
