Heavy Metal

I'm looking for some nice Heavy Metal now. Specifically, I'm looking for some really good black/death metal, like Nile, Dimmu Borgir, Extol, or even stuff like Strapping Young Lad and Meshuggah. Suggestions anyone? The harder the better.

Ha! This is great! I'll have to show this to my bf as death metal is his fav type of music.

dude! who was that? Iniquity? That was some good music!

BTW, I dont care if I can tell what they're saying or not. I mostly listyen to the music, IMO, most vocals just get in the way. When I cant unmderstand what they are saying, then the vocals become just another instrument. BTW, Barry Monilow is cool Simon and Garfunkel are better though.

Doesn't look like anyone has mentioned one of the coolest swedish bands out there right now, In Flames. These guys kick major ass, check out the album Jester Race...

thanx for all the suggestions guys. Yes it has taken me this long to get around to downloading this stuff. Damn Morpheus is all slow today. Of course it doesnt help that I have 35 simultaneous downloads. I'm listening to Hypocrisy - Roswell47 right now, and while its not bad at all, its pretty tame. Now on to Deicide - Sacrificial Suicide. Hmm, not bad. Pretty fast strumming. Could be a bit more aggressive though. Cool vocals though.

Still, nothing has even come close to comparing with Dimmu Borgir in pure brutality and aggressiveness.

Definetly check out Rotting Christ or Zao. Even though Zao screams and growls about god or whatever, they still are A OK in my book.

CorporateRecreation: Zao is my favorite band after Metallica. I absolutely love their style. I have three of their CDs: Blod and Fire, Liberate and Self-Titled. Absolutely incredible band.

Err, Cannibal Corpse and Napalm Death are also nice or sth.

yeah zao is really good, if you like them try poison the well, these bands are more of a mix of hardcore and metal not death metal at all though

mortification is also good
hatebreed as well
