EDIT2: Wow, this is a great game. More user input than I expected just from playing the old guy. I made one mistake and it effected the whole outcome of that one simple thing...awesome. Too tired to enjoy the part with the agent, but will tomorrow.

Seems like a cool game. I expected the rain to look better though lol. Timeshift did a better job with that a couple of years ago IMO. Controls are a bit awkward. I've already preordered the game so I'm looking forward to it.

Just finish the demo, pretty great. Not sure if it is day 1 purchase material but definite worth goozexing it.

Did anyone's audio skip a bit during the investigating scene?

Downloaded. Installed. Played.

It was pretty fun. I thought this was going to be a for-sure purchase at some point, maybe after a price drop or two. But now I think it is going to be a day one purchase for me. The interface is more intuitive than I thought it would be, although it seems sometimes they made it 'more difficult' for the sake of making it more difficult. The story seems compelling enough for me.

I can see this game not being for everyone, and can imagine that a lot of the threads around the Internet about this game are going to complain a lot of bitching.

Pretty cool but it was like playing Twister on the controller at some points. I think I damn near dislocated a couple fingers climbing the hill. The walking is annoying as mentioned.

What? Are you sure your sound is on, lol? Is it the whole PS3 or the demo? Try restarting it a few times and also mess with the in-game settings. If nothing, you could re-download.

There's sound on the PS3 menu but as soon as the demo boots up it's silent. Tried to change the sound settings, restarted the demo a few times with different accounts. Absolutely no sound.

It was cool. They fixed a lot of the issues with Indigo Prophecy, like the qte fights feel more cinematic instead of like a game of ddr. And it's so pretty. If I can get the cash, its a purchase.

Maybe it was the video, or my PC, but the tearing was really noticeable in places and it seems no vsync is rather common on console games and something that bothers me enough to make me avoid such games.

Edit: At the 2:30 mark when the guy's head gets punched into the cabinet there's noticeable tearing among other points sprinkled throughout the video.

I think the tearing may be more of the program they used to record the videos fault then the game. I have played the demo ~5 different times now and have had no issues.

I did have the sound cut out once but only for a half second.

Walking was _annoying_, but my biggest complaint is that it almost seems like they went a little overboard on the QTE difficulty. If this is an interactive movie, why not just embrace that and keep the control scheme stupid-simple?

I like the control scheme. Any less would have me falling asleep after a while because I'm not into the game. I liked how when I was asking the hooker questions, I could lean over the bed or the dresser. I messed up once in the fight and let the vase hit my head and lost the game because of that, but I went back and won on my second play through. I liked the first detective the best, but the second guy (FBI) was alright too, I just didn't like his demeanor. But that is great if a game can show me that just from the demo- it also gives you a lot of freedom, like going up towards the highway to check for footprints or tire tracks or the like. I will be picking this game up, along with DLC that may come out for it. I have chosen BF:BC2 over this, mainly because I'm buying that for multiplayer and I don't want it to be stale when I get the chance to buy it. The game is great though, looks great, feels great, and I cannot wait to see how the story pans out through several plays with wrong/right actions.

As for the screen tearing, I've seen none either. The walking also is not bad when you get used to it. I think the demo came out on the PS store yesterday too.
