I don't think it's an act. He's had other shows, and he was pretty rough with them as well.

I didn't see season 1 of this show, but I can easily give a big :thumbsup: to it.
There have only been two reality shows I've ever liked: the first season of The Apprentice (because my roomate at the time had all sorts of horror stories about Donald Trump... like when he bought an apartment complex near Central Park just so he could put up a huge billboard that blocked another apartments view of the actual park. On the billboard it said something like "how's your view now?")

The second was Boot Camp, the reality show from 1999 or 2000, showing people from different branches of military and law enforcement going through some pretty awesome obstacles.

This, I am happy to say, ranks up there as the third reality show I've ever liked =D

I loved that. This season it seem like the cast is regressing. Last season you saw marked signs of improvement.

i really do wonder about the casting for this show. you think they would either go for competent aspiring chefs, incompetent attractive people, or at the very least, interesting people. instead they filled the show with fat sweaty dudes, incompetent/uninteresting girls, and 2 semi-attractive/semi-competent girls. weird.

that said, who really cares? ramsey is the star of the show.

I'm pretty sure all of them are cooks (with the exception of the sweaty stock broker).

By the way, is it just me or does Virginia not look like Evangeline from Lost? At first glance, I thought Gordon's hosting some celeb deal.

They are all real chevs or aspiring chefs. We don't see what they are even cooking most of the time, and I'm sure that Ramsey plays stuff up a lot more for entertainment purposes. Also, only cooking with 3 people in a kitchen I'm sure is not a simple thing to do.

The funniest part of last night was when Ramsey said "Should we change the name to Donkey's Kitchen? The logo will be "DK" ... how bout that?" hahahaha. he is a trip.

watching some video clips.....wow, Ramsy is SO much different in the show. while i think his berating of the aspiring chefs is rather funny, seeing a different side of him is interesting.

I agree.... she sucks.... Of course that one fat sweaty guy got a pep talk at the end of the show.... You're a great cook, do you have any idea how good you could be if you lose the attitude.

Wait till Gordon watch's the playback of the show and sees what a moron that guy is. Remember when his pants were hanging low and his boxers were showing. Gordon tells the guy to quit showing his ass crack... later he's talks to the camera and keeps going on about "that's the way I rock em' "??? What a oger.
