True but it's still very entertaining for a lot of people.

The problem I have with for instance top chef is it's a good show also but half the stuff they talk about goes over my head.

The problem with Hell's Kitchen is, as you said, it's way too scripted. I find it very hard to believe that an Executive Chef can keep putting out under cooked or raw food to the point where Gordon shuts the kitchen down.

Also, if you look at the first episode vs. the final few episodes, these contestants go from not being able to boil an egg properly to making top notch dishes.

I find it entertaining though and I will watch it no doubt.

Yes, and the show intentionally casts imbeciles so that Gordan Ramsey can yell at them. Why do they need to be in a kitchen, hell, for that matter why do they need to hire any imbeciles at all? Just greenscreen Ramsey in front of an auto assembly line or office or little league team and let him go off on 45 minute hissy fits. The imbeciles watching wouldn't notice the difference or care even if they did notice.

Show is such trash. With "chefs" like those on HK it's no wonder I never eat at Olive Garden and the likes.

Hells Kitchen is not scripted, its just a HUGE coincidence that there are ties over and over when they are doing the cooking contests. Master Chef FTMFW.

i do agree with you though about it starting to feel like it's jumping the shark. that challenge should have been way back in the beginning, not when the top 3 chefs are in the finale episode.

and some of the other challenges too where they had to stay up all night in the texas heat. just seemed totally unnecessary and not the type of challenge they would have had a few seasons ago.

A couple of weeks ago I went to a place he helped. They have his picture up with the owners etc. I never thought the place needed help long before he went. Our waitress wasn't the best, so maybe him going didn't do much.
