You have to watch his shows on BBC America. The stuff he does for the UK is far superior to the crap he does in the US. (I guess they need to dumb it down for us)

Hells Kitchen is a trainwreck. Those contestants on HK are a joke.
It's not impossible at all. The risotto is par-cooked the day or morning before, spread out on a sheet pan and allowed to cool, then it's plastic-wrapped and placed in a fridge. Once it's par-cooked it only takes 10 or 15 minutes max to make.I do love this show but the one thing that irritates me is that he requires them to prepare Risotto. It takes a good 45 minutes to make actual Risotto with constant string and adding broth. When he starts demanding for the Risotto to be done in 20 minutes it's not possible for it to be prepared properly. Then he yells at them.
She's obnoxious and it finally seems like the rest of her team sees it too. She may be a better cook than Carrie but she's doing far more to damage team unity. Next week should be extra entertaining now that she isn't going to just pick on one person constantly.Man. There aren't enough bullets in the world to put into Elise's head.

I was into Hell's Kitchen for a few seasons, but now that shit is just to blatantly staged, idk how anyone can watch it.
every season starts off with maybe 3-4 chefs capable of actually reaching the finale, with a bunch of actors/"characters" to fill the ranks, every single competition ends in a tie that can only be resolved after a commercial break, etc.
the winners also get pretty screwed over more often than not.

I knew she wouldn't be going home. Chino did nothing but fuck up all night, so he deserved to go home. I knew when he called Elise's name that he'd tell her to get back in line. But now that the rest of her team has spoken up, I bet there will be some fireworks on the red team next week.
So, I finally got around to watching this latest season. Got 10 min in and gave up. It's just entirely too stupid now. It was sort of fun the first few years, but now it's clear that the producers are out to script the largest, messiest trainwreck thay can week in and week out. I quit. :thumbsdown:

I do it at home so I don't have to tend a risotto constantly while trying to prepare 2 or 3 other things.
Where do they get these lowlifes for the show? Every season they get these people who look like they came right out of a homeless shelter. Most of them appear dumb as nails and also smoke like chimneys.
It's all about finding 18 people that will constantly fight and explode at one another. I bet there are lots of skilled chefs that apply for the show. But they seem to pick some people based on cooking ability, and others based on personality.
I wish I could go there and sit in the new balcony seating. That looks pretty cool.
why is it they always find the most annoying black women in the world to put on this show? every season it seems there is one loud mouthed obnoxious black woman who i just want to punch in her mouth and I'm always wondering why someone isnt just like "WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP?" to them.
