HELP: ASUS 53 Problem

Hello;

This is not my first build, but it is my first time facing this issue.
CPU: I7-5930K
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GTX
Motherboard: ASUS X99-E WS/3.1
RAM:G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C14Q-64GVK
Storage: Samsung 850 Pro 1TB(Still has the operating system and data from old build.) /Samsung 840 EVO 1TB

Planning to reformat the Samsung pro once the new pc boots but I keep getting 53 error.

• Tried applying pressure on the rams to be sure if they are connected properly.
• Tried using one ram stick
• Shifted the ram stick
• Used another of the four ram stick
• enabled EZ XMP
• Removed all ram sticks

Got 53 for all the above.


Any solutions?

Clear cmos, use 1 stick of ram, and not in the black slots..

As per manual I am using the grey slot. Kept the ram stick in its slot applied pressure to be sure. Turned off power supply. Pressed clear cmos. Turned on Psu and pressed power switch. Still getting 53.

Is it in the case already? I know it's a huge pain but I had an issue in the past where something was touching the case that shouldn't have been. Took the mobo out of the case and it worked and when I remounted it carefully everything worked. Also pull the CMOS battery and don't just use the jumper or button to reset it.

Those are my only thoughts unless the board itself is bad.

I know that it won't make any sense, but try to also remove the cmos battery and disable EZ XMP! Don't forget to unplug the PC when removing the cmos battery. Then install the battery , plug in the PC and power it back on!

5-removed ram and battery and placed them only the battery back in. got 00
6-placed ram in and tried it number of times. got the following:

* 19
Which later changed to 53
7-pressed and held MemOK! after the tuning process still got 53
8-placed all 4 ram sticks and pressed MemOK! and still got 53

Any solution?

If this is happening with multiple sticks of RAM I'm thinking you have a bad board at this point or there is an incompatibility with the RAM itself. The only other thing you could try is another brand of RAM.

It looks like you've bought an Asus motherboard, that's your problem right there.
Dont try to explain it, just get rid of it via the easiest a cheapest option possible.

Maybe you could borrow a ddr4 memory module from somebody just for testing purposes? If it works, then you can try to exchange the ripjaws with some other 4x16GB DDR4 kit I guess.
You're gonna have to make sure that the memory is not the culprit somehow, before blaming the motherboard or the cpu.

The issue is I have no one to borrow a ddr4 ram stick from. I couldn't find a store that sells a used ddr4 stick. The cheapest one that I found in the Local stores was around 57USD, which is expensive. I already spent 600usd for the motherboard and the ram each. The only options are:
1-Buy the 56usd ram
2-Order ram from amazon.com and ship it to my country with other items. (4 days)
3-Send to Workshop [which is out of the picture because I hate people working on my pc while I am not there]

Just CPU and RAM will get you to the BIOS and obviously a PSU to power it all. Video card is not needed so long as the motherboard has a video port on it that will connect it to a monitor obviously.

Your CPU does not feature a GPU processor. Your board requires a dedicated GPU in order to function. Enthusiast class cpus do not feature on board gpus.

On midrange platforms like 1151, motherboards come fitted will all the required circuitry in order to display video(video ports included), but they(motherboards) are missing one important part - the graphics processor(gpu). Midrange cpus also integrate a gpu on die.

The ASUS X99-E WS/3.1 is a beefy premium product. You're just a little out of luck that's it. Stuff like this sometimes just happens.

I got the board to go into Bios after I installed a ram stick that was 2133MHz. But now for some reason once I press the on button it switches one and of immediately. I think it a CMOS issue.

Try to resit the CPU / Visually inspect the CPU socket for bent pins of any sort.

Since The IMC is on the CPU, if the CPU is not seatted properly u can get memory issues.

Check the expiration date on it....J/K it should be fine.

Checked CPU and pins nothing wrong and before that it was okay it was only giving memory error problems

It seems to be a motherboard thing. I took it to a workshop to get a second opinion and according to the guy the motherboard is shorting hence the reason why it is turning on and off. I have contacted ASUS and hopefully they get it fixed or replaced.
