I am having trouble using the memory devider in the BIOS of the Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe.

It seems to allow Memory clock adjustment in increments of 200, 216, 233, 250 at the max

When at 200 K8 to NB and full 10x multiplier with Mem set to 250 I get DDR 500 no problem

When I raise K8 to NB to 250 with full 10x Multiplier and set Mem to 200 I get DDR 400 but in windows cpu-z reports memory at the desired 250 Mhz

So just what the heck is going on here... configuring memory on my DFI was so much more strait forward...

all I want to do is run a 1:1 ratio as i increase my Cpu clock.

Also whats the deal with the cpu temperature threshhold is there no option for that or is it preset and you just cant adjust it?

I found it fvck'd up as well. Memory at 200 is 1:1 with processor, so in the second case, it is running at 250mhz. Thats just their way of doing a memory divider.

I think I would know, I got the same mobo

Wierd I guess when it displays ddr at 400 in the post its wrong, what cpu-z is reporting makes more sense. Any clue on the CPU Temperature limit function?

Memory Index of 200 = 1:1, i.e. K8 to NB is 250 your memory is running at 250mhz 1:1 (cpu running at 2.5ghz w/ 10x multiplier)

When you increase the Memory index to 250 but leave the K8 to NB at 200, your memory is using a 5:4 divider making the ram run at DDR500 but your cpu is only running at 2.0ghz w/ 10x multiplier
