First, when you flash your Bios it sets all your settings back to default.Example,if you have onboard sound and running a seperate sound card you will need to go in and shut the onboard one off.Try reflashing your Bios again too.Go in your Bios first and check out your setting and see whats been changed.Checksum error can be a number of things.Check out this thread. Checksum Error You still might be ok but its hard to say if the Bios failure corrupted your board.

Try this link . If your bios is dead, you probably need to go to Badflash.com for a replacement.

you can try these methods if bios is not dead,
The ALT+F2 Method

Download the required BIOS image file from the EPoX website.
Copy or extract the BIOS image file (named xxxxxxxx.bin) to a blank floppy disk with no bad sectors on it.
Restart the machine with the floppy disk in the floppy drive
When prompted at machine initialization, press ALT+F2 to begin performing the flashing of the BIOS.
The BIOS will automatically flash and reboot the machine.
After this, press DEL to enter the BIOS setup and select to "LOAD OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS". After doing this select to "SAVE & EXIT"
Please note that this does not create a backup of the BIOS binary file.
This does not require you to have a bootable floppy disk.

The Boot Disk Method

Create a bootable floppy disk in accordance with the instructions laid out in the manual of your particular operating system. This bootable floppy needs to be able to boot to a DOS console capable of executing normal MS-DOS batch and executable files.
Download the required BIOS image file from the EPoX website.
Copy to this floppy disk a copy of AWDFLASH.EXE and also a copy of the BIOS binary image file called xxxxxxxx.bin
Insert the diskette into drive A, reboot your system and boot from the diskette.
When booting is finished, type awdflash *.bin /sn/py/cc/ (dependant of the name of the BIOS image file) and then press return to run BIOS upgrade program.
For Command line help on Award Flash utility, type AWDFLASH/? at the command prompt and press return.

The Boot Disk Method

1. Create a bootable floppy disk in accordance with the instructions laid out in the manual of your particular operating system. This bootable floppy needs to be able to boot to a DOS console capable of executing normal MS-DOS batch and executable files.

2. Download and extract the xxxxxxxx.EXE file corresponding to your model from the EPoX website to the floppy. It will self extract into the above listed files.

3. Boot using your DOS floppy disk to the ?A:\>? command prompt. At the DOS command prompt type: UPDATE

4. The BIOS will automatically flash.

5. Reboot the machine.

6. After this, press DEL to enter the BIOS setup and select to "LOAD OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS". After doing this select to "SAVE & EXIT."

Note: During the use of UPDATE a backup of your original BIOS date/code will be saved in the same directory as the UPDATE file. It will be called ?OLD.BIN? and can be used with the restore instructions below in case you need to revert back to the original BIOS date/code.

can't go it settings for the board it just says please insert bootable disk
guessing that means you can't get to the bios screen at all ? do you know someone with the same mb ? as a LAST resort you could try the "hot" bios chip swap. get the mb with the good bios booted to the a:\ remove the bios chip (have it already loosened up in the socket) then install the chip with the bad bios and flash it with the disk you made. i would get the little plastic pulling tool from radio shack or someplace.
good luck

Wow that sounds like a good idea, but risky...

It may sound risky but the BIOS chip is in a bad way. The suggestion made here is what most experts suggest in similiar situations. If the BIOS chip has lost its BIOS (as in this case) then what have you got to lose?

Send a Private Message to ZZZZ. He fixed my bad bios flash quickly and for a lot less than Badflash.com charges.
