Help -- Can't install OS

I recently purchased a new system (specs in sig), but can not install any version of Ubuntu or Kubuntu, nor can I install Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit; however, installing Windows XP 32-bit Professional does work. I am fairly clueless as to how to get Vista to work and haven't put much effort into it; however, I have tried everything I can think of to install Ubuntu. So far, I have tried solely installing every version of Ubuntu I have on my hard drive, reinstalled GRUB multiple times, tried dualbooting it with windows, tried running GRUB from floppy, and many other things I can't recall right now. If you have any idea's as to how I can get all three operating systems (Windows XP 32-bit Pro, Windows Vista 64-bit, and Ubuntu 64-bit) working or any questions on what I've tried, please let me know. I'm willing to try just about anything as I really need Ubuntu running and would love to get Vista back up.

What exactly is the problem? You need to describe the issue if you want replies. I mean - what happens when you try to install ubuntu? Do you get an error? A crash?...

Is your boot order set to boot from a CD first? Since you didn't say whether you could actually get to the install screens or whether anything crash, it's a valid question.

i agree. cant get much help if we dont know what it is u need help with. the most logical thing i can think of has already been said (in BIOS setup make sure your Optical Drive is set to boot first, that way it will read the OS CD instead of the empty harddrive).
