I have a DFI socket 370 motherboard with an LX chipset. The manual only lists multiplyers up to 7 and support for the 466 Mhz celeron. I know that the celeron is multiplyer locked but would like to put a higher-speed processor in it. Does it matter what the jumpers say in regards to the multiplyer? I have read contrary info on various sites. The motherboard does support voltages from 1.3v to 2.0v and FSB frequencies of 75 and 83. The model is: DFI Cl50-LX. DFI will not return any e-mails about this board.
1) can I put a higher speed processor in it: i.e. 500 Mhz or 533 Hhz
2)considering the pinout differences b/w old celeron and flip-chip, will it support celeron II?
Any experiences and/or comments would be appreciated.
