help choosing rams

is there any known rams that are able to run at 1066 or higher with 4-4-4timings? or at least CAS 4.

i bought the ocz reaper 8500 gb2kit recently.it does overclock well in terms of reaching higher frequency,but not with tight timings.i cant get it to POST at 1066 with 4-5-5-15 with 2.3v

Does anyone knows what are the rams out there can get me to cas4 at 1066?

Not that I know of. The good news, it REALLY doesn't make much difference.

Don't worry about it. On an Intel system the timings just aren't that important. I don't think you're going to find DDR2-1066 with 4-4-4 timings anyway. Not at a reasonable voltage anyway. 2.3V on DDR2 is almost a 30% overvolt from spec, which is getting into RAM-frying territory.

Have you tested the apps you're using to see if you can even tell a difference between DDR2-800 5-5-5 and DDR2-1066 5-5-5?

is 2.3v endangering the lifespan of the ram?i put it to 2.3v was becos on the ocz official site and on the packaging itself claims that it would be safe up to 2.35v(max v covered by the warranty)

i guess i have to lower the voltage then.

Some people would tell you it's not, other people would tell you it is. I'm inclined to believe the latter, but I don't have any evidence because I've never overvolted my RAM like that.

If OCZ covers it in the warranty then they apparently think it's fine. I still wouldn't do it, but that's just me.

i would lower the voltage for safety reasons..lol.i certainly dun wish the day comes where i need the make use of that warranty
