What should I do if it does beep?

I think the people helping you diagnose are curious as to whether the rest of the mainboard is working correctly. If it is, then it might be the CPU that is the problem.

I don't know how to tell whether it is working or not. The diagnostic LEDs light up when it's on and everything.

Is it possible that it's my hard drive, somehow infected with a Trojan? I'm pretty sure that my PC has grade A security, but who knows.

I will try taking my CPU out tonight, and see if it does anything when I reinsert it.

If not, I'll try taking a look at my HDD. Could be that, by some small chance.

Update: I removed the cpu, and booted up. It didn't do anything odd, my hard drive just hummed as usual, and the psu fan went. That's about all that happened. It didn't beep or anything.

Now I reallly don't know what's wrong.

I'm gonna try using a friend's AGP card.

Believe or not it could be your PSU. The PSU's mobo power connector is probably not getting powered up. So to get to the bottom of this. Get your mobo tested to another system. All you need to install is a (all known working components) CPU, stick of RAM and a video card. Connect the monitor, of course and then power up. If you see the system post (bios) then the mobo works. Which will conclude that your PSU could be the culprit. If no system post then the mobo is dead and the PSU should be OK. Questions?
