HELP! Computer won't post, then sometimes shorts, then back on

MSI Neo3-FR P45 Mobo
Core 2 Duo E8400
2x2gb Crucial Ballistix PC6400 ram
300gb Maxtor SATA hdd
512mb Radeon HD4850


My computer was running fine. Then I tried to add two 2gb RAM sticks into DIMM slots 2 and 4, as well as connected a new 1.5tb hard drive. I may have accidentally unplugged the 4-pin 12v plug by the CPU, then my computer would not post when I turned it on.

I secured the 4-pin power plug later, still no go.

I tried reseating the CPU and heatsink, but that didn't work.

Help?

Not sure if it'd be a problem but sometimes systems NEED a stick in slot 1 or it refuses to work correctly. Try just moving 1 stick to slot 1 and seeing if it posts, if it does then add your second stick to slot 3 and enjoy the dual channel goodness. If not swap the stick in slot 1, if neither works report back.

Alright, I put my motherboard on cardboard, put my GPU in, CPU and heatsink in, two sticks of RAM in slots 1 and 3. I booted and got beeps, but when I went to put the board back on the risers, I again got no beeps...

Aha. Found the problem.

Airlink101 AWLH3028 PCI wireless adapter. I had this for all of 2 days installed, never even connected to a WiFi network, and it's broken. Hell, my AWLH3026 works fine but lacked Vista 64 drivers which was the only reason I bought the 3028.....

Okay, problem solved.
