Help correcting shutdown picture.

I put a USA flag on my active destop(1"x2") and it now also comes up during shutdown( full screen) and the second picture during startup. I have tried finding the file and deleteing it but nothing works. It wouldn't be bad except that the image is so large you can barely tell what it is.
Any and all replys appreciated.
