HELP !!! ..... Could it be a NEW virus?

I've had my system running for weeks without a glitch
Asus A7V
Duron 700 @ 1 Ghz
256Mb PC133 Ram
64Mb Asus V7700 GTS + TV
etc ...

All of a sudden, out from nowhere my system seem to shut down by its self !!
Happens ramdomly ... could be straight away or could be 5-10 mins after bootup. It's driving me MAD !!!

Norton AV 2000 didn't detect any thing ...
All hardware fully tested no problems found.

Help !!!

Maybe it's your Power Supply.

Yep. That would be my thought as well. The symptoms you described point to a failing power supply. Try the system with a different power supply and see if it corrects your problem...

My Dual P3 733 Win2k rig did this once to me. I was just sitting at my desk and click, it just rebooted all by itself. It only did it once.

If your computer is actually shutting down and not just cutting out, and if you're running Windows 2000, it may do this when you get a BSOD. You can try setting it not to automatically reboot/shutdown when it crashes. I would suggest clocking your duron back down a bit

It could be a lot of things but the ps seems most likely.
