help deciding if to put win2k on my notebook

I have a ibm thinkpad 366 cel with 64 mb ram and a 6 gb hard drive , first of all is does this notebook have a enough juice to run win2k? i checked the ibm web site and they have all the 2000 drivers i need , also will it be a pain setting up my home network and cable modem with win2k? what are the adv of using it over 98se ?

Its cutting it close, but you should be able to get it to run on there. Only problem I'm seeing is the RAM (Win2k likes at least 128MB)
No pain setting up home network or cable modem. 3 of my computers have Win2k, and all running great. Win2k is faster (in my opinion) and definitely more stable (opinion not necessarily restricted to me ). Also I think it has better power management features, so it may extend battery life.
I guess it depends on what you're going to do with it. If you need it to be stable, then by all means go Win2K.

I agree you need at least 128MB of Ram for W2k. Plus even if you don't upgrade to W2k I would at 64Megs of Ram because it is cheap and will make a diff.

It will run Win2k just fine. You should consider upping the RAM to at least 128, but I would just try it first and then see what you think.

I run Win2k on my ThinkPad with a PENTIUM 166 and 104MB RAM and it works perfectly well. Better than Win98, for sure. It's as easy to set up as Win98, too - as long as you are using Win2k Professional, not Advanced Server, etc.
