lol First time I read "I quit a fifteen year old . . ." Dayum, that's a broken ankle.I quit a fifteen year long, two pack a day habit in a situation not too unlike yours. I used the time to get it out of my system.
lol people are so judgemental here it's unreal
Nicotine is extremely addicting, this is why smokers can't do without during the workday.I understand having a hobby, but he sounds like an addict.
why no nicotine?
This.Fuck it...just smoke if you want to smoke.
Being alive is bad for you.He probably told you to stop smoking just to get you to stop smoking. It's bad for you, stop it
The imbalance of overstimulation of nicotinic vs muscarinic receptors in the substantia anklia leads to improper healing of the joint
This.
Being alive is bad for you.
Sorry, but smoking is one thing I'm definitely judgmental about. Smokers: you smell like ass, you are slowly killing yourself and you are wasting a ton of money in the process. Plus, the majority of you seem to use the world as your personal trash can. I'm disgusted every time I have to stand near you and breathe the stink.
Braznor: Take this as an opportunity to end your disgusting habit, make yourself healthier, and save some cash!
All I'm looking for is some mental support in this forum...... Oh wait.......... HA HAHHAHAHA
So no alcohol. D:
No....wink wink wink D:
Absolutely no fucking cigarettes! Not even nicotine chewing gum. D:
He gave me sleeping pills and painkillers. But a man cannot live on pills alone. How do I substitute nicotine? I haven't had a cigarette since this evening and I'm getting the jeebies already.... :\
What do I do? Help me guys. I'm fucking drying out here. I will be dead by tomorrow without my cigarette fix. D:
Apparently nicotine (and smoking in general) can interfere with the natural bone mending process.
Per: http://www.foothealthfacts.org/Content.aspx?id=4820
"In addition to longer healing times, blood clots, wounds that break open and greater risk of infection are other dangers facing smokers. Perhaps the most serious threat to smokers who have foot and ankle surgery, however, is non-union or failure of the bone to mend. Smokers are four times more likely to experience non-union than non-smokers."
From: http://www.oaevansville.com/trauma/information.htm
"3. Smoking/Nicotine/Tobacco Use
"...there is ample evidence in research literature that the presence of nicotinewhether it be from chewing tobacco, snuff, dip, cigarette or cigar smoking, marijuana smoking, or any other tobacco productwill significantly impair fracture healing. That is to say as little as one cigarette a day, one dip per day, one wad of chew, or other nicotine in your bloodstream hurts your body's ability to heal bones. This occurs because the nicotine slows the blood flow to your bones more than any other tissue in your body. The bone is starved of its ability to heal its fracture."
Sorry OP - you are not going to get sympathy from me or anyone else here. Stop sucking on cigarettes and weed. If you have to, start sucking something else.
