I got the certificate of admittance and some more forms like the math and foreign language entrance exam and I-20 transfer form and enrollment confirmation and family orientation forms and stuff... but I'm severely puzzled... They sent me two envelopes with it, one labeled to the registrar's mail services office and the other one to the health primary care center for the measles immunization verification form.

what do I need to send it in first? the deadline for the reply and reservation fee is May 1st. but there's only one envelope to send everything in! and the directions aren't very clear in the booklet so I'm a little dazed right now. I know this isn't the right place to ask this question but admissions office is closed right now and I won't be able to make a phone call to the admissions office during school... I will call them soon but I'm very eager to know so I was wondering if any one of you techies attended or is attending University Of Washington and had any clue on how to fill these forms out.

thanks a bunch!

edit: actually not. I corrected that stupid typo thanks to all of your annoyingness.

call their admissions office to get clarification of the instructions would be the first thing I'd do tomorrow morning.

It's your first test. They're gonna be so angry they let somebody in who couldn't figure out some simple directions

Don't forget to include the $20 tip for the admissions officer, otherwise your paperwork will be "lost."

^ j/k, when I went there for grad school there was no gratuity. I never did figure out why they wanted the blood sample though.

Good lord, you guys are mean.

Send the envelope with the confirmation and reservation; there should be a separate deadline for the measles info. To be sure, I would call Hall Health tomorrow afternoon, they close at 5PM and the general info number is 206-685-1011. Hope you get this straightened out.

Cheers!

I'd be interested in hearing some advice on what dorm is best for an incoming freshman.

Thanks!

As an incoming freshman you won't get a choice of dorm, though if you have roommate/quiet floor/outdoor house-type preferences, the number of dorms in which you could be placed become more and more limited. You have a pretty wide berth of dorms, but realistically you'll probably be placed in Terry/Lander, McCarty, McMahon, or Haggett. Whatever you do, you do NOT want Mercer - that place is a freaking dungeon. Had that over one summer and it drove me batty.

If you had a choice, I'd say choose between Terry/Lander or McMahon - the former for the atmosphere and the opportunity to meet TONS of people, the latter for the chance to get to know 7-9 people fairly well, for better or for worse, and for the chance to try and sneak a party or two past the RAs.

Any other questions we can help you answer?

Cheers!
Nate

ok you just contradicted yourself there buddy, you just said they sent you 2 envelopes, then you say theres only one envelope to send everything in?

Send your measle record with the measles envelope, and send your reply to the admission using the address labeled with the registars mail service office.

If you dont wannt go there, don't send in either envelope. acutally scratch that, send in the reply checking the no option.

Jesus you guys are freaking annoying, either answer the poor guy's question or stay out of the fvcking thread.

Unless it's a thread like one of luvly's or luvya's, then it's fair game for the viscious nefs.

Don't let it bother you iskim86, it's amazing how juvenile people can be.

Anyway, just give them a call tomorrow. 2:35 would be 5:35 PM here at the UW, which is after they close. But, give them a call before you go to school, which they would definately be open (6:00 AM is 9:00 AM here).

Otherwise, send an email http://www.hallhealthcenter.com (too lazy to figure out this quick reply URL thing).

Eric

Edit: Just had to correct my spelling before they all return.
