Help!!! I need cheap ram!!!

I was wondering if anyone here knows where I can find the cheapest ram online. I am looking for 256 M for around 80 or less. I found 256 M at www.computercomputer.com and they sell it for around $88 but with an $11.90 shipping charge. Thanks for any info

Go to crucial for quality ram and free 2nd day shipping...a 256 mb pc100 for $99 shipped. May be more than you want to pay though.

I thought long and hard about a 256 stick of Micron (so they say) CAS 2 ram at GPS Computer Services LTD.

It was priced at 59.00....with a few bucks more shipping.


I never bought it thohough, cause i read a lot of negative feedback at "Reseller Ratings" .com about them (GPS....etc) and chickened out.


You might want to try them.....if it's legit, good ram......let us know.

Viking makes great ram, quality stuff, tough to beat for the price. If the ram ever fails they will FedEx you a new moduel over night and pay for shipping.

I saw 256mb PC150 for $80 on pricewatch. Search for 256 PC150 and there are a bunch of compnies selling it for around $80.

newegg.com seems to have the best deal kinston 256 mb pc 133 for $90 with free shipping.

I went to pricewatch and saw that they did have generic 256mb pc 133 ram for around 43 (plus s+h). I dont know, I am not completely sold that generic ram is just as good. I really like things with warranties. I may be wrong, has anyone bought any generic ram online and had any problems with it?? and if you did what did the website do for you??

All the cheap generic stuff on pricewatch will work in "some systems" most of the vendors fail to tell you that is is very high density ram (32x64) and will only work in AMD IronGate and Via kt133, 133a and kx133 chipsets. It also will not work with any other brand of ram at the same time, it also Cas3 which is slower.

Put down the extra cash and buy the good stuff, either that or take a 50/50 shot with your money.

buy.com has some good prices on kingston pc133 sdram 256 meg sticks of memory.

That's where I got my stick. It was $79. It may have raised since then.
