Ok. Here's the story. I am a full time college student, father of 2, husband to the greatest wife in the world (in case she reads this), and computer dealer (well was a computer dealer.
Everything was going GREAT.

until

Until I found a website. No, donkey porn did not ruin me. It was a computer site.

I found a niche in selling used PII computers and the like.

The problem I had was finding harddrives and memory for some.
I could buy it new wholesale, but that would drive up the cost of the systems.
Dealers around me sold theirs for $250 and $300 with a monitor.
I sold mine for $130-$160.
So buying memory for $28 would't be reasonable or hard drives for $40.
I had to find it used.
I typed in "surplus computers" in google.

I found this page http://www.comp-recycle.com/bindex.htm

WOW look at the prices!
Of course I was a little skeptical. So I only bought 2 hard drives.
They arrived and NO problems.
In the following 3 days I bought 35 more drives, memory, processors etc.
I paid by company check.
ALL the drives were junk. 35 out of 35!!
I emailed the "business".
No reply.
I called the "business".
wrong number

I call the BBB. They did no good.
I called the Texas State Attorney General. No good.

I got my checks back form the bank

HE FORGED MY CHECKS!!

He printed his own in Quicken with my company name, and bank info.
And the bank cashed them.

I called the bank.

They said no problem! Get a police report, and they will take care of it.
I called the Carrollton police.
No dice. They said in order to prosecute him on forgery in the state of Texas whoever he cashed the chect to would have to be able to say "yes, he is the one that gave me that check on this day".
The police claimed it was impossible.

So I got no police report.
The bank closed my account.
My home was foreclosed.

I now live a stones throw from my inlaws

All because of one man.

Order something from his site.
He ships it COD.
And when it comes, refuse it.
At least he would be out shipping costs!

If 50 people did it, at $10 shipping each....

Anyway, that's my riches to rags story?

Sounds to me like you were talking to a retard at that Polica Department. Call FBI since the scam involved bank fraud and interstate commerce.

Damn, that sucks. Really. I just can't see how human beings can do that to one another.

Personally, I'd go George Costanza on him, track him down, and get my revenge in person. A little 'wall-to-wall' counseling for him at the very least.

Call the FBI, it's interstate. It's also mail fraud, call the postal inspector.

You're clearly talking to idiots.

(I'm with the spelling police, figuratively speaking.)

He's saying he lost his house from the bank account that was emptied due to fraudulent checks. The lesson here of course is never to buy stuff online using checks.

So you bought 35 assorted items that cost about (based on a quick look at his site) $20 each.

$35 x 20 = $700. You must have lived in one hell of a sh!thole to be foreclosed on over $700.

Once again in your attempt to make someone look stupid, you have only made your lack of reading comprehension apparent.

Oh, you're right, It wasn't 35 "assorted items" that were bad, only the hard drives were bad. That really makes one hell of a difference.

I'll order some stuff C.O.D. and get an address off of the box before I refuse it, if you'd like.

You must be the most intelligent person on these forums.
Maybe in the world.

WOW

You are just too sharp.

Let's see....
I am a theif.
I have a "blank check"
I am only going to print one check
And only make it out for $700.

Thanks for being so smart.
The bank told me it was 10 times that.
I will call them tomorrow and tell them they are wrong.

YOU are a lifesaver!

No, the reason he lost his house is because the guy forged checks and emptied out his bank account. He coulda been a little clearer, but you shoulda cought it. I think its time you went to bed.

How much did you lose, gigawhat? Why wasn't most of your money in savings?

You obviously still haven't read the part about the fake checks.

Here's the part you're missing, Tyler:

Granted, his writing was less than clear, but he did say it.
