I've been running an Athlon 64 X2 4200+ on the MSI Diamond SLI-32 for about 6 months without a problem. I just installed an SATA RAID array and a second 7900GT for SLI. At some point during the reinstallation of Windows and apps, the CPU speed on the board dropped from 2.22Ghz to 741Mhz. I didn't make any changes to the BIOS other than to set up the RAID, and it was working fine the first couple of reboots. The BIOS is set to auto-select CPU clock speed, and it recognizes the X2 4200+ as the chip. What happened, and how can I fix it?
My current config:
MSI K8N Diamond SLI32
2 WD 250Gb 16Mb in a RAID0
1 Seagate 200Gb 8Mb PATA internal backup
2x1Gb OCZ RAM in dual channel mode
2xBFG 7900GT OC in SLI
Onboard Audigy sound
