help in choosing a 19' monitor

I going to get a new monitor i really need to replace my 15' monitor hehe. Anyway i don't know which brand to go with. The price range that i can afford for a 19' monitor is 250-400. any suggestions would be appreciated. Also what is better the hight the refresh rate or lower??

With that price range you can chose many monitors. Best thing is to go to a store and look at different displays.
Viewsonic, Samsung and KDS are several that are within your range.
KDS has several FD Trinitron tube monitors in their Avitron line that are reasonably priced.
The KDS AV-7TF is 17inch and on pricewatch.com starts at $229 plus shipping.
The KDS AV-195TF is 19 inches and is around $400 plus shipping.

The 19" Samsung SyncMaster 950p is $288.95 at Buy.com. PC world rates it as a best buy for what that's worth. I like its output but you may not. Spre is right. Get out and check a few out before you buy.

Hmm... I don't know of any 19' monitors in that price range However, I do like some of the 19" Samsungs such as the 900NF. By the way, high refresh rates are better.
