I unlocked my TB950 L1 bridges and I want to know how to undo this ...
Having probs with comp ... it was working fine but then it froze and i couldn't reboot ... turned off and then on and it was ok .. happened again, it was ok ... then this time it froze, i turned it off, and now my comp seems like it's dead ...
it won't boot up ... i can hear the harddrive when i turn it on but after that nth happens - it freezes. the monitor doesn't even turn on - it seems like it doesn't "know" the comp is on ... i'm afraid it mite have sth to do with the L1 bridges tho i don't know ... any advice or opinions is much appreciated ...

Alot of motherboards with let you restart them in default 100mhz by holding the insert key as you turn the power on, and this will let you in your CMOS. Another unhappier way is to short the cmos clear jumper (following the instructions on your motherboard) and this will reset everything permanently to bios defaults.

Hope this helps

I am assuming you overclocked yourself into this condition. If not then you got a different problem. You might have put too much pencil or defogger kit stuff on and you have bridged between the contacts. Use a magnifying glass and see if this is the case. If it is then you will need to redo what you did. If you used pencil wipe it off, not sure how to get the defogger off, you might be able to use a razor blade and scrap it off.

Answer a couple questions to tell us more. Have you adjusted the multipliers and or the fsb? If not, then tell us how you "unlocked your processor. The more detail the better. Thanks

What he said, but nail polish remover and q-tips works for removing the defogger repair paint.

i find that white lightning (200 proof ethanol) is actually more effective than nail-polish (acetone). you don't even need to rub with q-tips--it dissolves the material on contact. of course, you have to associated with a research institution or have your own still to get white lightning =)

I unlocked it using the pencil trick (so i guess i'll just use an eraser to get it off then ...)
I actually haven't even started to overclock yet ... just got everything set up and was installing software ...
