Help me buid a 2500$ Gaming Machine

I am considering Athlon over Pentium (Not the FX, its too expensive)

It has to be SLI Mobo with 1 Geforce 6800 Ultra

10000RPM Hard drive.

I want the fastest memory or very fast, Do you think 2GB is a must?

Opinions Welcomed, Please help me, I am going to spend a lot of money and I dont know how to build it.

That is pretty much exactly what I am putting together right now, except for the SLI. This would leave you with plenty of money to burn on another 6800ultra AND have a good bit leftover for your OS or anything else you wanna spend it on.

You should check out Monarch Computers' website. They build AMD systems for the cost of the merchandise + $18 (build fee, very cheap...AMD certified techs build it, burn it, & test it). Their prices are mostly equal to or less than New Egg.

What part of it is the "burn it" part? I'm not familiar with that term when building a PC.

Memory speed doesn't matter so don't worry about the fancy 2225 timings. Value ram will work just as well, as the most you will OC is probably about 20 mz up to 220 on air. You don't need 2 gig of memory, I've been running 2 gig in my machine and don't see any differance in games.
