Basically a repository Doctor at a School Board meeting.
Highlights:
Masks are useless
CDC does not follow science
Vaccination does something that he isn’t clear about to the immune system but it sure sounded bad.

Now only evidence I need is during the last few weeks 0.1% of hospitalized COVID patients have been vaccinated.
Personally I don’t need more info than that.

I mean much of it can be true it just strikes me as someone who is looking at the data, concluding that something is likely to be true, and then running his mouth with it. And you know, if he turns out to be wrong about a certain portion of it, no faul, if he turns out right then nostradamus status. Why the fuck would CDC be lying to you. Think about it for a second.

I stopped at "functional family medicine physician" who claims to have special training. He doesn't. While functional medicine can have some very reasonable things to offer, it's largely a quack field, this guy is a quack. That's it.

He totally has the "real truth" on his flash drive. LOL. He should lose his medical license. He's in the same boat as the Lyme Literate physicians. Charlatans, the lot. They take bits of truth that get buy in from law people, and then pile on bullshit.

Not sure why you are bothering. You can't use reason to get someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

The CDC is far from perfect, they are a political entity. But many fail to understand (or just ignore in their rush to find blame at all costs) that covid is new, that science isn't a static set thing. Doctors used to think bleeding patients and doing deep knee bends were good.


One moron I know (from my kid's soccer) said that "they" were paying hospitals to lie about covid patients. So I guess a nationwide conspiracy crossing many systems and involving many thousands of medical people...that seem reasonable. Of course it doesn't. Putting aside the fact that I know (and am worried) about relatives who work in hospitals, I got a bit heated and called it out as bs in no uncertain terms. But I'm under no illusion that any facts I (or anyone) can provide would make a dent. Conspiracy thinking runs deep in people, it's a sickness. No matter how far down the rabbit hole they go, there's always a reason why factual counter-evidence is bogus. I simply am choosing to excise such fuckheads from my life at this point. At best, I'll work with them or get along provided they shut their yap with the alternate reality garbage.

So for any masks are useless people--what are your thoughts on this study? It's basically one of the first ones that google brought up. PNAS seems highly regarded, looked briefly at who they were and whether they were thought of as crackpots (they aren't).

I mean, I'll be the first to toss out my mask if they are worthless. I hate wearing them. But there are what appear to be good studies suggesting they are NOT worthless, and after watching my buddy (on his 9th day of a breakthrough case ) struggle I'm looking for any advantage to avoid getting covid. But--you gotta bring....the....evidence. Not some doctor's word. Ben Carson is a doctor and outside of his field he's loonytunes. Not some person on youtube. An actual study not funded by some political group or product. Bring it, I'll welcome the evidence that they are worthless. I am not on team mask because I want to wear the damn things.

I couldn't listen to this fool after a minute. So not a pulmonologist. Check. A family practice doc who hasn't stepped foot in a hospital in over 10 years probably. Check. Thinks particles are too small for masks to be effective. Check. Thinks the vaccine isn't effective based on ridiculously google searched nonsense. People shouldn't be getting this in the summer. Didn't we already go through this when Trump made the same statement. I skipped to the end. I enjoyed the link Vrolok posted. I'd love to see this quack being interviewed by him. But just like the liars that Rudy paraded around people like this would never allow themselves to be questioned or speak under oath. Oath of losing your license. "Doctors" like this should have to defend their licenses in front of a large panel of their peers. My opinion. Wear a mask when you around people and get a couple of little shots. We will give lollipops if that makes the owy go away faster.
