Around the turn of the century and early 1900s doctors started to wear masks during things like surgery to prevent spread of diseases.

For around 100 years, medical professionals have worn mask.
Why do they still wear masks if they dont help to prevent spread of communicable diseases?

Multiple studies show that masks reduce the risk of COVID transmission.

He makes a rather spurious point about the vaccine, suggesting that if the vaccine is so effective, why are we seeing a surge? We're seeing a surge because delta is more infectious than previous strains. But we're also seeing a higher ratio of cases:deaths ,meaning the observable death rate has declined versus the earlier period of COVID. That is because only about .5% of deaths are among the vaccinated, and half the population is vaccinated. Meaning the vaccine is dramatically lowering the death rate.

This guy is purposefully spreading misinformation. He doesn't sound dumb enough to actually believe what he's saying.

summarizing, I typed that from memory and he very well could be a different kind of Doctor.

Edit: he speaks rather fast and audio is hard to understand at the beginning. He is a something-something family Doctor who covers immunization and respiratory stuff *I think* sort sounded like one big slur to keep his word pace rapid.
