I used to watch this cartoon, this big bear (i think they are all bears) flies an old prop plane delivering packages (I think), has an apprentice or assistant younger bear and works for this lady bear, whom he flirts with, who gives out assignments.

Thanks

Apparently, 1990 was 20 years ago now.

Average age for us here I think is mid/late 20s (discounting outliers like oldsmoboat, who is nearly as old as time) so 90s is "old".

Though I did grow up watching the classic Saturday morning cartoons like Popeye, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, etc. as well as the newer ones like TMNT, Tale Spin, Garfield, etc

i grew up where "cable tv" was an a-b switch for HBO. saturday morning cartoons were literally the only time they played. and noon kung fu theater was the only time you could see a kung fu flick. it was cartoons until 1030, the sci fi theater, then the kung fu theater till 2. then we played outside until 9pm or so.

i must be in the older bracket, remembering having to boil or bbq a hot dog to eat it. no microwaves, no cell phones. atari 2600 was the shizznit.

I liked Jonny Quest. But now 'Hadji' is "offensive".

I'm 39 and enjoyed Star Blazers more than I should have. G.I. Joe, He Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was just bad animation and marketing to me at the age of 12 or so. Hell, I remember TMNT when it was just a comic. I think I still have a parody comic involving Boris something-or-other (Bolshevik?) Bushido Bear and I can also remember the Geriatric Jujitsu Gerbils, too.

It's funny the nostalgia that people have over crap programming. Adjust your age a few years and it's a whole new perspective.

Even if you couldn't remember the name of TaleSpin, how can you not remember who the "big bear" was? Baloo the Bear is just some "big bear" to you?! Even ignoring the original literary Jungle Book character, it's also a Disney character that transcends shows and movies. Kinda like Whinnie the Pooh.

In another sense, it's kinda like not knowing who the main character was was in Tazmania just because you forgot the show despite it not being the only media relevant to The Tazmanian Devil (also known as "Taz").

Don't worry, they've got all that in the rest home you'll be heading to shortly.
