Help me name that game from the Mid 1990s...

ok, it was just when 3d was becoming popular with the voodoo banshee from 3dfx and there was this one game i got the demo of that came on a PC Gamer Demo Disc or something. It was set in Medieval times and you fought in a dungeon agaist other soldiers or something like that and fought to the death. It was mostly in 3d person view and the big thing with the game was the gore aspect and dismemberment...now what the hell is that game called?

its not severance, and it might be nightmars but that doesnt seem to be spelled correctly because i cant find any images or anything google. This game never got huge, but it had a small buzz. i think you fought like 4 skeletons or something at a time and stuff, but i dont think monsters were really in the picture.

Glad to help. I shudder everytime I think about how much money I've spent in my lifetime on videogames. Its probably (no kidding) pushing $15-20k. If it came out for the pc, chances are I've played it.

Let me ask one from about the same time.

It was a town-building strategy game set in the 'middle ages' or so; it was kind of like Caesar 3 or Age of Empires

Farmers could grow grapes and raise pigs-- and other things. I can't remember that much about it. It was fun though.

I don't think that's it.

This game I can't think of was kind of obscure I think. The focus in it was on building the town and making it run, not so much fighting with other cities. I think it was a gamespot demo, even.

I remember this one I used to play... There was a small line on each side of the screen. Each player controlled one of the lines. You could move it up and down. The goal was to bounce a ball back and forth by hitting it with your line. I think it was called Street Fighter 2.

Blade is an awesome game, one of my favorites actually. It was one of the first games out there with really nice shadows. It did have a bad case of the "quicksilver water" effect however, ala Morrowind.

if you want to try an amazing game.. which to this day is probably still my all time favorite adventure/RPG.. get Ultima 8 : Pagan.. you'll need dosbox to play it

if you can get passed the aged graphics.. you're sure to fall in love with it

HEy, as long as we're referencing awesome old school rpg's, try BAne of the Cosmic Forge. It is an awesome RPG that came out for the PC and NES ~1988-1989 I think. I used to think I was the shiznit when I was playing that game with super cga graphics on my moms IBM PS II.
