Also, if you get unpredictable results where sometimes a given ram stick will pass or fail, and the other stick will similarly pass or fail over time, then you might have an issue with the CPU and its memory controller. Try underclocking and boosting voltage to the CPU memory controller.

Some Dimms also require a higher voltage as well, you don't specify what kind, and what voltage you are running through them.
What motherboard is this as well?
Also, try memtest86+

you likely need to adjust your timings a bit
what voltage are you running them at ?
there is a good chance the "auto" is not correct

Yeah, if the stick checks out OK (though, to be honest, you should be testing each stick overnight, not just 1 pass) then you usually need to pump a bit more voltage, but, again, what RAM are you using, and what voltages are they rated for?

No error messages when 1 stick at a time.
the only an error message populated during the test was when i had all 4 sticks plugged in.
there have been times where the 4th stick does not pick up and it just thinks 3 sticks of ram are slotted.
As Soulkeeper pointed out, this is not a good sign. The motherboard may get into trouble when auto adjusting voltage and timings for RAM modules with different specs.

Don't bother debugging the memtest error output! You can't figure out the bad module by debugging memtest errors.

1. First, make sure that all modules pass memtest without a single error! The number of full memtest passes is irrelevant. It's more the overall run-time of memtest that assures the most confident result.

2. If you're using different model/manufacturer modules at once try this:
2.1 Use cpuz to read the spd data/specs(spd voltage and timings) for all the modules.
2.2 Use BIOS. Bump up the memory voltage just a little over the lowest commom/mutual voltage identified with cpuz.
2.3 Use BIOS. Identify the lowest commom/mutual timings between all the modules and increase them a little(by +1 or +2).

2. is what others had already suggested, maybe just in a more detailed manner.
