<< Definately go with a nice Honda. >>

I have ben looking for information/pictures/anything on the new 2003 Accords. Can anyone give me a hand? I would love a Honda for the reliability, resale, etc but I want to see what the next offering is going to be like.
>>

I heard the 2003 Accord looks like an extended/bloated Civic now. Ewwwwwww. The new Civics look bad enough already....

I'd get a top of the line 2002 Toyota Camry if you don't mind the sheer amount of them.

Other thoughts:
Altima
Jetta
Acura TL

Check around, you can probably find a used bmw 325i for around 25,000. Otherwise the 2002 acura TL is something to check around for.

BigJohnKC, get in here! Tell him about your Altima!

BigJohn is like 6'7", and that was his favorite.

I personally really like the Altima. The 4 cylinder is not bad, but the V-6 is full-on rockin'!

Do yourself a favor and don't look at the black interior though. It really does look cheap (too shiny). The other colors (tan and light gray) look much nicer, even though they are otherwise identical. I also prefer the cloth interior to leather, because they put a big swath of vinyl on the door panel where there would otherwise be cloth that matches the seats.

<< Impreza WRX >>

He's 6'5" and needs passenger space. I don't think any of those tiny cars like the Mustang, Impreza, BMW 3 Series, Saab 9-3, or (nobody said it yet, but someone will) Audi A4 will work.

Here is what you do:
Buy a 199x Civic for 10K
With the remaining 15K, buy:
4 foot spoiler
a racing stripe down the center of the vehicle
race harness style seats
racing helmet
huge exhaust system OR mount a coffee can on the end of your muffler
spend the remaining cash on "Type R" and "NOS" stickers
Coat the car with said stickers... you should be able to get the coat 2-3 stickers deep at minimum

Honda always keeps their new models fully under wraps until just before the introduction. You'll probably be waiting until late summer before any of the magazines have any "first drive" type of articles.

I did see a video clip with a Honda rep talking about how the new Accord would be better than ever, blah blah blah. It might be worth waiting for, but it might not be. If you bought an Altima (or any other car that you liked on the day you bought it), would you look back and be kicking yourself up and down for the next three years if you thought you liked the new Accord better, or would you be relaxed and content? If you would kick yourself, maybe you should wait.

go to edmunds.com

check out the list of cars for 20-25K

go to Barnes and Nobles - get the consumer reports car guide

pick the car that has the most solid red dots that costs 20-25K (best quality, lowest repair costs, safest. etc)

probably gonna be a toyota or a honda

p.s. i've owned two toyotas for over ten years each - they never wear out (and seemingly never have major mechanical problems)
we just got our third toyota (traded in a POS Ford, the wife wanted to try a Ford - she learned quick, and we traded again back to a toyota). the wife wants me to get rid of the 11 year old toyota and get a new car - probably gonna get a another toyota or a lexus.
