Help me take care of my car!

I have a 2002 Acura RSX

Here is what I use:
1. Zipwax Turtlewax car wash
2. Turtlewax car wax
3. Lexol leather cleaner
4. Armor All for the dash

Any suggestions on the above? Especially the wax. Is buying an electric buffer a good idea? What's the best way to get a shiny finish?

Also I don't know which is the best of the following:
1. tire cleaner
2. rim cleaner
3. squegee for drying after the wash
4. glass cleaner

What is the best thing to use for washing? Sponge? Terry cloth towel?

Is armor all necessary? I used to use it, but stopped since it doesn't really seem to do anything besides making everything feel like it was smeared with grease. More important is to use a sun shade.

For waxes with retail availability, I use meguiars, but all the more expensive ones seem to work the same.

Ha ha you use turtle wax.

Try the search and enter in car wax...

I use Pinnacle car wax, I also have their car shampoo.

With buffer tools, I've used two, one was $50 the other $250. I think they can be worth it. Be careful though, the heat from the circulur motion can literally fade or smear paint away from your car.

What I do; 1. wash 2. squegee dry 3. apply paint cleanser(pinnacle) 4. wipe cleanser 5. apply wax 6. wipe wax 7. apply some more wax 8. use buffer to finish.

Usually, its not this much that I do.

 

The people at Autopia love Meguiars NXT wax. Give that a try. I'm partial to Eagle One wax products...I know it's cheap, but I've been using it for years and love it.

Switch to Meguiars and Zymol. Turtle Wax and Armor-All are low quality.

Don't squegee, that's terrible. Use a chamois or (at the very least) a terry cloth towel.

Glass cleaner should ALWAYS be ammonia-free.

You should clean the wheels often enough that soap and water will do, with no special wheel cleaner needed.

I 've been using them for 4 years now and have never looked back.
Please throw away the Turtle Wax products. your Acura deserves better. As far as buffer, Porter-Cable makes a great one, make sure the speed is variable. Good Luck.
The best glass cleaner I have found is Invisible Glass by Stoner(Iknow)Products.
NO squegee!!!!!! Microfiber towels are the way to go.
