Help me test a new venture?

Hey guys,

After several years in an executive role in tech, I've given a lot of career advice, seen a lot of resumes, and interviewed a lot of folks.

The way people go about job hunting and career building is universally terrible, and most of the ideas out there for how to improve are just plain wrong.

I've been developing an entrepreneurial venture in this space. We're not going to write your resume for you; we're going to help you develop an awesome value proposition that you can sell to employers. Your resume, cover letter, and interview skills are just a vehicle for conveying that super-compelling message.

Here's what I need: 2-3 guinea pigs to test the process. You'd commit to going through a trial run of this service for 30 minutes to an hour over Skype, and writing a 2 sentence review afterward (your honest opinion of it).

What's in it for you is that you're getting the benefit of the service for free, so you'll (hopefully) be way better positioned for job hunting and career building afterward.

Neither, really. I'm going to work with you on developing a value proposition that you can use to drive the things you need to get a job: resume, cover letter, interview skills, etc.

Most people start at the wrong level ("I'm writing my resume"). They should be starting at, "What compelling solution am I selling to my potential employers?"

But your question is also an example of why I need to test this a number of times: maybe people are really starving for interview coaching, and therefore that's something I need to build into the service.

Eventually I intend to make money off this, but no one in this trial run will have to pay a dime.
