I had just reloaded WinXP and some apps, then it just powered off suddenly.
Hitting the power button does nothing! Its totally dead!
Just before it died I had a strange issue with the USB ports. My treo connector would work in the front ports, but gave errors when connected to the USB ports in the back.
My config is as follows:
MB: Chaintech VNF3-250
CPU: Athlon64 (dont remember which one) w/ Zalman heatsink fan
PSU: Antec Smartpower 350
PCI Cards: Radeon 9800 and Sound card (which came with MB)
I think the PSU is okay, as I plugged it into another computer and it looked to be getting juice. When the computer died, I opened the case. It was only slightly above room temperature. I had it on for 3-5 hours only.
Am I looking at a fried MB?
