HELP my friend's Intel Core i5 is DEAD

Well he got his new i5 3570K and he put it in and everything works just fine.

So i5 really was busted, intel didn't complain about anything they just sent that new one no questions asked.

Hee hee so thats that apparently. I find it amazing his i5 died but not his motherboard.

Yep, never had a dead CPU but I suppose it has to happen sometimes.

Cars are different. Governments will impose tax on vehicles to persuade the general public to use public transport, reduce pollution, traffic etc.

Cars are a different cup of tea when it comes to almost every country.

Some European Countries seem to have a incredibly high stance against carbon monoxide and climate change. Their reasons for imposing huge motor vehicle tax might not be necessarily because the country is so poor and they need the money for development, For example my country they charge an extra tax based on how much CC the engine is.

Trust me you don't want to buy a gas guzzling V8 here unless you are rich LOL

I've watched many episodes of Top Gear UK where the boys bash the tiny cars pulling campers and it is just hilarious to see. Tiny front wheel drive cars pulling trailers that we Americans would have a front engine/rear drive pickup truck hooked up to clogging up the roads as they struggle to pull the load. They should import a new ford f150 with the ecoboost 2.7 and head out into the countryside with a caravan as they call it attached. I could see Jeremy Clarkson smoking the tires out of the parking lot swinging it all over the place.

Getting pretty far off topic, but I pull a small camper behind my 80HP, 2 seater, 14 year old hybrid, and still get 60+mpg (which is a pretty significant hit vs when not pulling). If I lived in the Rockies, yeah, I might want something a little bigger (like maybe a Honda Accord), but why the heck would I want a pickup for my uses? I have no problems merging into or keeping up with traffic. My vehicle cost me $3500 and I pay about $750 per year in gas. A $30,000 vehicle that costs 3.5x as much in gas and doesn't provide any utility I need and don't already have makes zero sense. I can think of better things to use that money on.
