HELP my Monitor is jiggling

Help..my monitor all of a sudden is jiggling..it's givng me a headache trying to look at the display screen... what's wrong with it?

provided you haven't made any changes to resolution or anything lately I would say your monitor is nearing death. Has it started changing colors (ie screen gets a yellow ting and then snaps back to normal)?

Also check to make sure the video card is seated well, and the monitor cable is plugged in firmly.

Maybe you're finally starting to notice its low refresh rate... try changing to a resolution with a higher one and see if it stops.

no, the colors hasn't changed yet..I bought the monitor at comp usa.. it's comp usa brand...in 1999.. it can't die after only 2 years.. can it?
it's like a horizontal vibration ..i need some help please.. or a place to buy a cheap bottle to tylenol cause i'm getting a headache reading this monitor...

As golden tiger said, lower the resolution, and bump up the refresh rate, maybe you are just starting to notice a bit of flicker.

You can also try replacing the monitor cable (if it detatches from your monitor) and see if that fixes the problem.

Monitors can die anytime,my CTX was brand new &amp; only lasted 2 years(I got a replacement under warranty).

Odds are you monitor is not dying. Jiggling as you describe it is usually caused by an external magnetic interference. Some items that can create magnetic interference are. Another monitor running a different refresh rate, TV, Fans, motors, large speakers, elevators, air conditioners, air purifiers, electric street cars, subway trains, electric staplers, fluorescent lamps etc. Basically anything with an electric motor or an appliance that draws a lot of electric current can interfere with your monitor and cause it to jiggle

Has anything changed recently in the environment your monitor is located in? If so that would be the first suspect.

When you say jiggle, do you mean vibrate really fast? Like seeing vibrations of a guitar string? If so, I had a Samsung 900p that did the same thing. In fact, there was a thread awhile back of 900p owners who all noticed the same phenomonon. Nobody seemed to know what was causing it, but I don't think it signals imminant death. Mine's still running after two years and it did that from the start.
