So my organization has heretofore been using Symantec's GHOST to deploy images to pc's.
But their licensing cost is outrageous, 1 license per imaged client (bleh).
We're actively seeking an immediate replacement.
Our UK folks want to go with MS's WIM & WSUS Image Deployment, but the US team is pushing back on account of requirements for a dedicated server and an additional OS license, at least requirements within our current infrastructure, not to the MS product itself perse.
Can anyone recommend a FREEware - OR- alternatively a much lower than GHOST cost solution, preferably one that also allows editing of ntfs images, which I know GHOST finally did after version 11 with Ghost Explorer.
Any thoughts appreciated.
TIA
