help networking gurus!!!!

As I sit here typing I have unhooked my router due to more than painfully slow connection speed. @ 95 to 108 Kbps according to bandwith tester in Firefox. I just finished building a new system with an Asus A8n-SLI Deluxe. This problem occurs both on the Nvidia and Marvell connections. Properties in network connections show 100Mbps but don' act like it. With the router unhooked and the connection directly into the ethernet connection on the board I am at 1.8Mbps. Is my router going on the fritz...D-link DI-614+ it is almost two years old but geeez....help me folks PLEASE

i have the same motherboard and im having web surfing problems.. not having problem downloading files.. just surfing the net

These on Mobo NICs seem to give people lot of grief for the $5 that they save.

I am No Mobo Guru so I can not help you with your Mobo. However, Firefox is Not your LAN/Internet speed Measure Tool.:thumbsdown::shocked:

First Optimize your TCP/IP stack, and then do some LAN measures to find out where is the weakest spot.

You install the master program on one computer, and End point Client on all other computers on the Network.

Step one. Go to Nvidias website and get your drivers.
Step Repeat Step one for Asus and load the chipset drivers.

Since you said Nvidia... I asumming its an nforce board. and as such it needs the right drivers.
