Help on a Shuttle AK39

I work for a small computer company and we are building systems for a project we are working on. We are using the following parts

AK39N V1.1 w/ Onboard LAN/Sound/USB 2.0
AMD XP 2000+ Retail
WD 40GB 8MB cache
Kingston 256MB PC 2100
Lite-On 52x CD-ROM
eVGA GeForce2-MX400
Alps Electrtic (Generic) 1.44 Floppy
Enlight 7237 case w/ 300W P/S

I tried to load WinXP and it keeps crashing in different places during file copy and during initial GUI setup. We tried switching out every part but the MOBO, and then flashed the bios and tried again. Still nothing. I thought the board might be dead, but since we had about 10 of them on the shelf, I grabbed another one and had the same problems. Frustrated, I tore apart a bench machine with an AK35GT2 in it and installed it with all the parts I originally had in the AK39 system (read...I changed MOBO only). XP install works fine.

I wonder if anyone else has had similar problems with the AK39 and if so, if they have had any other workarounds. And if this is a problem with the board itself, what is a good board to use. I need to find an AMD board ~$100. I could pay a little more for an nForce board w/onboard video b/c I wouldn't have to buy a seperate video card.

Any help would be appreciated.

Humm, sounds like the board to me. Many shuttle boards never have a problem as I have used a number of them (older ones). However, my brother bought a "refurb" Shuttle board from NewEgg recently that did the exact same thing and had to send it back for an RMA. However, I can't remember the model number possibly a AK35 something???

Found the problem. It was the kingston ValueRam. Put some Crucial in it, worked fine.
