i have cdroms cdrw and hd i havent installed yet i was just trying to post
ok first off i had the cpu fan just hooked through power supply it turned on i could hear everything running then a short beep and long one... i said ok tried cmos clearing re seating vid card and memory
then i try just the cpu fan hooked up to the motherboard through the 3 pin it turns on and i cant hear the roaring noise of tornado and ( im not sure what happend if it beeped twice or just kept running)
so then i try both hooked up one into the motherboard one out to the powersupply so that doesnt work i re seat everything vid card ram and clear cmos ... it works after a long while the monitor boots up
(before when i had both connected it would just boot up and everything would run and no video no beeps)
so i thought good i went into bios it was fine i wanted to see if my unlocking had worked so i put it at 13x multiplier and it rebooted taking a longer while for video to come up i say ok... 13x is supposed to be 2100 13 x 133 fsb = 1729 or 1.73 ghz = xp 2100... so i wonder i try the 14 x and it reboots taking even longer to do so and it comes up and says 800 mhz athlon on front screen im like huh? (yes i had already changed fsb from 100 - 133 that was first thing i did after i checked the cpu temps for a while) so i say guess it didnt unlock right and i put it back to default multiplier (auto select) and decide to try raising fsb to 140 to see temps at 140 fsb... so i try that it reboots and it hangs there and does exactly same as it did before .... what to do now... help !
btw would the LED and power reset pins have anything to do with this?
