I just installed this motherboard, and am getting a constant problem. Whenever I boot into windows, it goes to a blue screen telling me there is some error (doesn't tell what kind of error) at memory address 0E: No file is given. When I reboot, it seems to boot into some other video state at 640:480 without any colors and tells me there is a problem with my video card drivers. The thing is, if I either install or uninstall the AGP driver from the VIA 4in1 driver set (version doesn't seem to matter), it will boot into Windows okay but seems to act weird (if I play around with the NVIDIA settings in the display settings, it eventually gives me an error in rundll or some other file. All of windows won't crash, just can't get back into the video settings. If I then reboot again, the whole process starts over again unless I reinstall or uninstall the VIA AGP driver.
I have a P700e running at 933, but the problems are the same if I run at 700. I have a Hercules Prophet GTS 64mb video card flashed to the new bios. I have tried the hercules drivers and nvidia drivers without any difference. The video card is not sharing an IRQ with anything. The bios is set to AGP 2X, fast writes off, with AGP size at 64 and 128 (without any change).
Other details of my system are: 256 PC133 ram, Diamond MX300 sound card with latest drivers, Adaptec 3950U scsi card, NCR 810 scsi card, and a nic. Everything else works fine (network, sound, etc).
I have bios 1005 already installed.
If anyone can offer an help, I would greatly appreciate it. I can't be expected to reinstall those damn drivers every time I want to boot into windows and besides, it's not 100% stable even when I do.
Thanks.
